Several students belonging to the Adivasi community were brutally attacked by members of a group of Bengali Muslims called Students for Sovereignty in Motijheel area of Dhaka in Bangladesh on Wednesday. According to reports, the students from the minority Adivasi community were protesting in front of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) against the removal of graffiti with the word ‘Adivasi’ in school textbooks. On the other hand, the other group was supporting the removal.I THINK AFTER THIS INCIDENT CLASHES WILL TAKE PLACE AND IT WILL INCREASE IN CHITTAGONG HILL TRACTS.

Brutal attacks on the INDIGENOUS community in Bangladesh are not isolated incidents but rather ongoing and systemic phenomena and today's (January 15, 2025) incident is another example of this grim reality. These attacks highlight that constitutional rights for Indigenous people no longer exist. Law enforcement, and even the Bangladesh Army, often stand as silent spectators instead of ensuring protection, perpetuating a cycle of impunity. Even when the culprits are clearly identified, justice remains out of reach. The legal system fails to act, leaving these communities with no hope of accountability. When voices are raised for their rights, they’re quickly silenced. In this reality, being INDIGENOUS in Bangladesh feels like a curse-and No Justice for the Indigenous Community in Bangladesh.
