You know, if you listen to Linkin Park's "And One", you can definitely hear Deftones in there. Even some of the riffs off Hybrid Theory.

A lot of the heavy screaming and heavy riffs sound like deftones a bit . One step closer , faint, a place for my head , lying from you, hit the floor . Listen to deftones first two albums then LP first two albums . I can hear the influence.

@@Mike-xz8by those songs sound NOOTTTTHING a like though, where does Papercut sound like around the fur? And Forgotten does have a lot of Deftones influence, but it hardly sounds anything like Headup.

hes talkin bout papercut...linkin park wrote that entire album in the same tuning deftones used for around the fur...and there is no denying that when linkin park came out they where soooooooo biting off deftones style at the time...spiked colored hair,same clothes..music was influenced hardcore...wasnt exactly the same but u can hear the influence AND see it in there image during the whole NU-METAL era...fuck that NU-METAL label...deftones where just straight up adrenaline paced punk metal

I don't get it. I can't recall any song of Linkin Park sounding like Deftones. LP was for their first 2 albums Metal with rap and DJ. Deftones at first was Metal with melody and screaming and shit it just was more Metal. LP was kind of Metal sometimes but maybe I'd say just Rock sometimes I dunno. Anyone wanna tell me what songs sound alike? I'm a fan of both bands and have all their albums so..

Linkin Park looked like Deftones and were Just greatly influenced by them whatever Deftones did they do a couple years later and Mike was proud of it

Noa Reyes Me personally, I only mildly liked LP's first album. And even saw them live but only because a girl I liked invited me to go see them. And honestly, I enjoyed the opening acts, DJ Z-Trip and Cypress Hill more than Linkin Park. I don't feel bad about. But it's still sad that he died. I simply wasn't a big fan of LP. I always liked Deftones way more. But I would never wish death on them. Of course Chino was joking about killing them.
