I'll prob get jumped for saying so, but hearing "Spiritbox" for the first time ever a few days ago and now diving into their top songs/albums I get some major Chino type vibes from their lead singer (Courtney LaPlante); she has a similar style of making words and syllables malleable and bend in unusual ways like Chino does, and some of their music has that overall Deftones-y kinda vibe (IMO).

@@nonormies2837 So, I understand where you’re going with this. Spells and all that. Got it. And agree…to a degree. But Your info is wrong. Minerva was the goddess of wisdom to the Romans. Heavily influenced by the Greek’s Athena. Man, sometimes music is just music and that’s it. I’m pretty sure this song was written to a woman in his life that is his muse so he equates her to a goddess. He’s a poet. Poets do poetry. For this woman in his life it’s probably one of the sweetest things that’s ever happened to her. They named a whole album after her.

This has been my go-to jam during my vacation in Athens. (Athens is named after the goddess Athena, whose Roman name is Minerva.) No matter where I go on this planet, Deftones has my back.
