..yeah man, I’m digging the organ vibe too, it’s that Blue Note late night vibe..fire..i noticed Bobby Broom, Berklee! giving you kudos, he is right on point as always..thanks for these my brother..New York March 16, 2023..
Just discovered your backing tracks, bloody great. I'm a guitarist and play in a six piece band including a Hammond organist so this is good practice. Thanks so much.

I love some of the intrresting ending chords .. trying to work them out for guitar ..any hints and tips would be appreciated!! .
@PhilWilkinsonMusic Жыл бұрын
Hi thanks glad you like them. I just play some simple typical endings that you'll hear on the bandstand or off recordings. Try to hear the bass note of the chord and you'll figure it out. 👍🏼

Hey man, are your backing tracks played to a metronome?
@PhilWilkinsonMusic Жыл бұрын
Hi there, yes almost all of them.

Just seeing this, which ones aren't? I can't tell if drums were programmed? If they are then it's obviously to a metronome. Just lmk which ones are NOT on the clock. I only play to metronomic backing tracks

Thanks for posting this, do you know if this is "on the grid", played to a click? I'm surprised i never see any BPM info with these tracks
@PhilWilkinsonMusic10 ай бұрын
Hi there. Jazz is a very organic musical language and our time feel should come from our internal clock. It's something that I feel is important to address with students because you certainly won't be able to get your metronome out on a gig so I try to encourage people to not obsess over BPMs. I leave out info like that for a reason.
