I saw them too in 1981 at the Warehouse in Leeds in England. Joe Bowie walked on and asked for a joint from the crowd. Someone duly obliged and they spent the next 10 minutes smoking it. We all waitied patiently and it was well worth the wait - 2 hours of unbelievable funk. One of the best gigs of my life...

@TexCoDuhickey They jam ive seen Soulive a bunch of times and they are great but the raw power and enthusiasm of these guys combined with amazing musicianship is un-real. Its like the Chili peppers and James Brown or P funk all rolled into one.
