At 35, I took my health into my own hands and started strength training…I haven’t looked back. Most jacked I’ve ever been and I’m 40 now! 💪💪💪🏋️♀️🏋️♀️🏋️♀️

55 years old here. I started barbell training 6 years ago as a complete novice lifter, and my only regret is to not have started it sooner. I gained 11 kg (25 lbs) bodyweight since then, i look muscular and athletic, in better shape than I've ever been. Numbers: DL 340 lbs x 5, SQ 295 lbs x 5, BP 200 lbs single ( my weakest lift), on 190 lbs body weight. It's been a few years that I'm in late intermediary / advanced range, but I'm still making slow progresses. If i had started at age 40 instead of 49 I'll probably be lifting more by now.

How are your test levels? Are you on TRT? I’m 48 and I have lifted weights off and on since I was 15. I was always kinda of skinny but could make good gains with a proper diet. I hadn’t worked out in over 10 years. Got my T levels checked 9 months ago. Started TRT and just recently started hitting the weights. Huge gains in a short period of time.

@@a-a-ron4679 I've never tested my t levels, and not using TRT. Not sure what are the numbers but I'll bet pushing hard at the gym must have improved the testosterone. I gained muscle mass

@@AbuMaxime that’s good. Keep it up. I wouldn’t hurt to have your levels checked though just to see where they are.

At 35, and training still pretty hard and sustaining a high degree of discipline and humility, I actually feel about the same as I did when I started lifting at 14. Except everything including physical and mental bandwidth is easy with the life hack of exercise, and now I see a massive amount of ROI on all my hard work with my health, joints, physique, bone density, injury prevention, muscle mass, blood profile, heart function, sleep, and stress levels.

The other thing to consider too is that now I see everyone else around my age falling apart and really starting to deviate pretty significantly and I'm able to enjoy a lot of freedoms and recognize a lot of capability I still have to enjoy life in a different way even at 35. I will continue to do this the rest of my life and now it's more important than ever because I'm about to be a father and I need to set a good example for my kids but I also want to be around to see them grow up and live their lives so I can be a part of them.

Hell yeah, I love when you talk about your mother or other older women that are lifted way more than me that I do at 46 years old. I'm a 46-year-old menopause alcoholic woman but your videos motivate me to do better and I appreciate that I want to be where they are one day I want to do better. Thank you for making your videos. Sorry for any typos I've been planned all my life and you talk to text. My mother always told me one thing worse than alcoholic was a blind alcoholic that had to use type to text. She might be right. She was blind and died at 70 years old.

Got a noticeable belly and chubby cheeks coach? Strength and cardio are on opposite ends of the fitness spectrum. The answer is in the middle.

Strength training doesn't cause people to get fat. Eating excessive calories causes people to get fat. If you control what goes in your mouth you don't get fat.
