🇫🇷 Degiheugi ne savait certainement pas à quoi s’attendre au moment de proposer à Al’Tarba (Droogz Brigade) de réorchestrer son track « Too Shy To Dance ». Ce remix est le 5e sorti par Degiheugi depuis début 2023, et le fruit d’une seconde collaboration entre ces deux beatmakers historiques du mouvement abstract Hip-Hop.
Le début du morceau nous plonge dans une ambiance dense et profonde, soutenue par les basses saturées sorties du curieux esprit du beatmaker Toulousain, avant que les riffs psychédéliques de la Sitar n'électrisent l'atmosphère et achèvent de nous désorienter.
Degiheugi ne pouvait rêver mieux avec ce remix d’Al’Tarba, qui nous tire du cabaret jazz où la chanteuse Astrid Van Peeterssen nous avait laissé, pour nous entraîner dans les profondeurs d’un club underground
🇬🇧 Degiheugi certainly didn't know what to expect when he asked Al'Tarba (Droogz Brigade) to remix his track "Too Shy To Dance". This remix is the 5th released by Degiheugi since the beginning of 2023, and the result of a second collaboration between these two historical beatmakers of the abstract Hip-Hop movement.
The beginning of the track immerses us in a heavy atmosphere, supported by the saturated bass coming from the curious mind of the Toulouse beatmaker, before the psychedelic riffs of the Sitar electrify the atmosphere and complete to disorientate us.
Degiheugi could not have dreamed of better with this remix of Al'Tarba, which takes us from the jazz cabaret where singer Astrid Van Peeterssen left us, to take us into the depths of an underground club.
🇫🇷 Dès 2001, Degiheugi consume du microsillon et fait rugir les platines dans une formation rap. Mais la sphère du hip-hop classique s’avère vite exiguë pour traiter les influx d’idées irriguant sans cesse son hémisphère droit. Collectionneur de sons, explorateur du sample idéal, Degiheugi part exhumer des pépites encore brutes, sommeillant dans les abîmes du Web et sous la poussière de vinyles marquant les décennies passées. Il réinvente l’art de fusionner ces particules sonores pour leur offrir une seconde vie au rayonnement atomique.
Imprégnés de feat 5 étoiles et de beats au groove d’orfèvre, ces patchworks éclatants élargissent le champ magnétique des codes du trip-hop, et révèlent une musique chimiquement pure, gorgée de reflets soul, de spleen électronique et de fulgurances mélodiques.
Après 7 albums et 2 EP, tous célébrés par les rangs croissants de ses adeptes, ce beatmaker de l’ombre a franchi en 2015 le cap de la scène. De l’Europe à l’Australie, des premières parties de DJ Shadow aux plateaux communs avec Chill Bump, Smokey Joe & the Kid ou ProleteR, ses live greffent son et vidéo pour une expérience puissamment immersive.
