When, in response to Joey's ridicule, Dwayne challenges him to a fight, Joey feels he has to go through with it. Meanwhile, Stephanie finally realizes, after weeks of flirtation, that Simon is interested in Alexa, not her.
The second season of Degrassi Junior High premiered on January 4, 1988 with another 13 episodes. It takes place after the students' return from spring break and continues some of the issues that the students were facing last term.

Petty Realist you keep saying that about early bloomers. I thought being an early bloomer meant you got your womanly shape before your peers. If you notice, Stephanie Kay still very much resembles a child. Early bloomers would be more like Alexa and Michelle. What Stephanie is trying to do is grow up too fast. I noticed the late bloomers do this more often for example the girl who stuffs her bra and wears makeup when she is 12 years old.
