The Simpson-Nelson household is in chaos. With Snake gone and Spike totally down in the dumps, keeping the household together has fallen totally onto Emma’s shoulders. She puts everything she has into looking after Jack, Spike and Manny. When Manny begs Emma to help her lose weight for an upcoming audition, Emma throws herself into it. She has no control in her life - she can’t bring Snake home, and she can’t even date Peter for fear Manny will find out. But she can control what she and Manny eat. There is comfort in that. In case you thought that Degrassi Community School couldn’t get any more intense… think again. This season, the challenges get harder, the lessons get tougher and the path to self-discovery becomes more dangerous than ever. Emma goes to extremes to lose weight. Manny makes a decision that tarnishes her reputation. Paige questions her sexuality. Relationships will begin or rekindle… and some couples will meet their bitter end.

:( once they realized how easy it was to get rid of what they ate.. that’s the start of a downward spiral with an eating disorder. People don’t understand why Emma got an ED even though she was never fat. Her life felt out of control, especially with the trauma she went thru last season. She was always a perfectionist and control freak from the beginning.
