aww my teen years. the timing of the first 7 seasons of Degrassi was PERFECT. I was still in high school, and even the first two years in college, it was still a pretty decent show. I'm so glad it was good back then :D

Unfortunately, yes. Spinner was depressed after he broke up with Jane, so Jay, Manny and Emma decided to cheer him up. Emma also wanted a job at the Dot, which is Spinner and Emma's like fifth conversation. :| Long story short, they got married while they were drunk in a casino. They then realized that they just MAGICALLY loved each other and stayed married. Liberty and a Toby look-a-like(as Liberty's date) came back for the wedding. This closed the entire Next Generation cast's story.The End.

People keep saying they don't like the new Degrassi because of what it has become, but what has it become? These newer seasons talk about the same topics that the older ones did. Just like the Degrassi back in the 80s. These Degrassi seasons are jus repeating high school topics, with just a different cast through the years.

Kazuma Strife it's a new generation so obviously people who have watched dtng won't relate to the newer kids because it's a different setting. I started watching season 8 and I'm still enjoying the seasons, yeah compared to earlier seasons like 3 & 4 it isn't at that same level. But the show is meant for teens to grow up with and relate to which I think they're doing great. I'm 17 and I relate to the new degrassi as much as the old one. It's still great, just different.

I FEEL OLD! UGH! This was my show! The N was my network. I stopped watching once I went to college. Awwww, look how young they look! We watched them grow. They were so cute! lol I had the greatest crush on Spinner......This brings back good memories, warm fuzzy,nostalgic feeling. Cult classic, man.

One thing i like about the show is that the cast always changes. They wanted to keep the storyline within the school and not the character. It's nice because even though some of us say that the storylines are always the same, that's because we've had them and there are new target audiences that we (as in the ones who watched from season 1 of DTNG) are not a part of anymore. The school always stays the same, but the people changes and that's basically like how it is in the real world. Nostalgia.

A few years ago I was addicted to Degrassi, but I was like 11 or something and when school became harder I didn't had time for tv anymore. But a few months ago I tought about it again, it never left my mind. So I searched for all the seasons and on Wikipedia I found out that there are movies and there are previous seasons like Degrassi Junior High and High. To be honest it made me curious and that's why I watched them as well.

Well, Bianca is a dancer, and they had a dance club w/scenes (when Ali tried to create a counter-part to the Spirit/Power Squad, when Chantay didn't let her join). The show strives to show myriad different aspects/clubs/interests, and can only effectively do so by not overly focusing on any particular (sub)group for more than "x" scenes/episodes. If you sit back and think for a minute, you'll see that makes sense... ;)

The original shows were Degrassi Jr. High and Degrassi High. The next generation included the daughter of 2 of the characters from the original series (Emma). Maybe they changed the name when there was nothing "next generation" about it anymore. It was kind of between generations. (If anybody wants to watch those old ones, they're on Hulu.)

Acutally the original series of the show back in the 80"s was called degrassi jr. high which featured snake, his wife and a couple of the other teachers as students of the school at the time. Then they picked up the show again, I guess off the story of snake and spike and their kid as a spin off and called it DTNG.
