As Stephanie's mother makes plans to remarry and her father continues to fight for custody of her and her brother, Stephanie becomes increasingly despondent. She even starts to talk about suicide. Meanwhile, her brother Arthur considers running away with his new best friend, a puppy.
The second season of Degrassi Junior High premiered on January 4, 1988 with another 13 episodes. It takes place after the students' return from spring break and continues some of the issues that the students were facing last term.

This episode was so depressing. I related a lot to Stephanie back in high school. I'm sure many others sure did too. I remember late 1987 and I live in Canada, so this season still brings the most nostalgia from when I was little that year.

I've always liked Stephanie, though this episode has surprised me, but in a good way. She is more real than ever in this one. I know it was just a phase of becoming a woman and that's alright for a teen girl 👧 at least now I know what to say to my students when I spot them go through similar stages. Eternal series, a masterpiece 🌻
