Whats your favorite company to grade with? I've never graded before but my favorite label is cgc

I've only sent cards in to be graded with AGS and degree. A lot of times who you grade with depends on what you are wanting. If you want value added to your cards by grading PSA is your best bet unless you think you can get a BGS black label. CGC is good for quick turn arounds. AGS is good for getting a more accurate grading since computers do the grading. So no easy answers 🤣 degree is good if you just want your cards in slabs and don't want to pay a lot or wait long to get them back

Its not the best price for grading if it doesnt add any more value besides the big 3 I maked the mistake too grade with smaller companys People dont want too pay the premium what they pay on psa becket and even cgc cards

You've definitely got a point. But some people aren't worried about value. They just want to protect their cards in slabs. I think that's what these guys are good for. There slogan is "slabs for collectors" or something like that. But if you are flipping cards then there are definitely brands that add more value.

But it doesnt make sense at all too go for smaller companys save 7/8 bucks per card But it doesnt add much value at all most of the time Just arround the raw mint price + grading cost Even if its for collecting like i do Its better too use the big 3 Think of making trades , Just showing off. And for over a very long time for your children or grand children in value or Just too show off Imo you pay Just for a case

@@ThePokemenSquad yea, it can be a way to protect the cards. Plus if the company becomes bigger and more reputable, well then you have the original grading option that can't be duplicated. It would then be more rare. Hey, PSA, CGC and Beckett started somewhere! They all had beginnings

I don't disagree at all with your points Isa. I think you make an excellent case. But this is a great entry into grading cards for a good price. So I think the small grading companies have their place. The cards are protected, can still be shown off etc even though there may be no value added. I won't lie im not using this company for my high end cards but to get some cards Slabbed quick and cheap? This is hard to beat.

I believe that you can actually scan the qr codes on the back and get the subgrades online. As far as how they compare grade wise I think they fall a bit harsher than psa for sure. Even a bit harsher than cgc I think. Especially for older cards. May have to do some regrading for scientific study if I get some extra money one day 🤣

Kid expects to be HANDED 10s just because he says so. If the grading standard is tough and it's a smaller company, it probably shows more integrity than PSA, who's graders have "Good and bad" days and tend to grade with emotion almost as much as standards Favorite card The ZERO. Good to learn the lesson....not buying A grade, buying the ASSIGNED GRADE.

How did it get a zero? Was it obviously damaged? Unplayable? Or whatever the reason a zero could be for

It was moderately played. Definitely not damaged. Would probably get a PSA 4. With degree their grading system takes off points from 10 for each thing they find which can result in a 0 if enough things line up. Most people that grade with degree say they only send in modern because of that. But some people like the zero. I don't like it because it's not very accurate. Cards with complete creases could get a 0 and our card could get a zero and from a grading perspective they would be indistinguishable
