Maybe if employers didn't demand degrees for jobs that don't really need one. Then, this fake diploma issue wouldn't happen. 80 - 90% of jobs don't require a bachelors degree or higher, maybe most need a community college level, or an apprenticeship level of education. Really, the jobs that need a bachelors or higher degree would be medicine, engineering, law, and maybe in education. Employers need to be realistic about what a job REALLY needs to hire someone. Some employers just want a degree to impress anyone who looks at their employee rosters. One case of requiring a masters degree for a wildlife technician, when all that is really needed was an associates degree. The job entailed feeding wildlife, trapping, planting cover crops (grains), repairing and operating farm tractors and implements, picking up dead animals off of highways, building and maintaining area barns and service buildings, stocking fish ponds, planting trees, fighting wildfires.

I HAVE A DEGREE FROM A DIPLOMA MILL. I won't say where I work, but I will say it's a law firm. I am a Paralegal. No real degree, but so what? I do my job well enough. I get my assignments (mostly writing affidavits, other documents, interviewing clients, visiting witnesses, research, etc.) done. Why should this be a problem? I'm not practicing law or giving legal advice. I didn't have money for college. If not for me doing this, I'd be working as a security guard or something I have a 9 year old daughter to raise alone

I completely 1000% agree with you. If you can do the job and your not putting people at risk, then go for it. I help people pass employment background checks to get in the door. Question... I have 28 years of experience in my field but no degree. I am trying to find a diploma mill that won't rip me off. Can you give me a lead??? Thanks!
