Thanks for sharing - I'm totally in agreement with someone else whose asked where the Christmas bits are... when you've got guests over or little ones, you don't want to be met with a bag of brown sugar 🤣 This makes me think of those Lego calendars. I had one for two Christmases when I was younger and whilst you had to build the little characters or snowman/snow sleigh, at least you had something to play with and it was enjoyable. This though... whilst I know it's not for kids, even 'adult' calendars with bath bombs, lip gloss, aftershave etc, you can use all of those. You can use these bits of course but they claim these are worth over £55, where's the Christmas snacky bits that you'd expect? The chicken gravy/stock pots are handy sure but there's too much stuff in here that requires messing around with meal planning. You get penne, you have to cook the penne with a sauce or something. You get a lamb masala mix, also handy but not festive. The onions are okay for snacking but the brown sugar requires you to bake stuff like cookies etc. This is why M&S etc do party platters etc because at this time of year, people just snack on stuff and then put effort into cooking a proper Christmas dinner. There are some nice bits but I'm annoyed that they've significantly dropped the price after I purchased, I bet people are too if they paid full price for bits they could probably get cheaper elsewhere in a weekly shop etc. Hopefully next year, they throw in some festive goodies. Bits that everyone can snack away at. We've had a few of their boxes and they have been quite good. I question their estimates on the value of the contents but at least they mostly give snacky bits or nice granola etc that we always like. Ah well haha
