No-one really knows what's going on. Sometimes when you're familiar with a person and as close as these two were the feud last much longer because they know each other so very well and knows each others most deepest secrets so when something happens like what caused them to separate it lingers much longer because they're both devastated and holding on to the why, how could this be coming from someone so close. Two sides to every story. It makes absolutely no sense for Jay to have always had Emory's back and shouted him out and what not for years and not do the same for DeHaven. I don't think he telling everything. Plus Jay showed him love early on. "Back then Gil was my Co-D, Spanish Jose showed me how to get the money niggas owed me". "Hospital days, reflecting when my man laid up, On the uptown high block, he got his side sprayed up". I'm wondering if dude was gonna snitch and then found out he didn't have to. If you listen to 'A Week Ago' that basically confirms it. at least from Jay's perspective.

When you were around people before they made it and they felt you were the man, sometimes that feellng of how they view you doesn't leave but instead of respecting what you meant to them, they start to resent you in a way. People watch and marvel and even take components of them. You could have a guy in high school that had all the girls and respect from dudes without even trying. A guy who is is homeboy could have admired him and wanted to dress like him, ride like him etc. Guy 2 gets older and has money and the women he pulls are "badder", but they aren't into him like the the girls were on other dude in the past and not the same amount of people see it and give him props like when they were younger. Guy 2 clothes might be more expensive, but he can't really rock it like first guy did. Guy 2 cars might cost way more, but it's not the same reaction at this stage when he pulls up as other guy had pulling up in the projects back then. So sometimes they don't really want them around because even though he is clearly are the man now, it reminds him of who was in that time period where everyone was building their rep and everyone was right there playing in the field, and they don't want others seeing the comparison. Go look at Big Jake from Death Row interview, and tell me you don't see where Suge got a lot of his style and mannerisms from. Not saying Suge didn't want him around, just saying many times people we see have homies they fashioned themselves after. Unless that guy has totally turned into a stupid, old head just standing on the street corner all day, they know they can never really "big homie" that dude. Coupled with fact Jay probably was starting Roc-A-Fella and felt he needed to distance himself from the game DeHaven was in, and he feels bad and knows he didn't look out the way he should.

Jay needs to make this right. Sit down with the homie, ya'll talk out and air out the grievances you have with each other and get to business with one another. Jigga is in a powerful position now where he can help make some things happen for the O.G.... Emory is eating, Tah Tah is eating, Biggs is eating, Bleek is still eating, Jaz-O is in a better position (I'm assuming since they made amends), Do the right thing Jay and get things right with your boy. He doesn't seem bitter at all, just has questions and shit can be resolved by a conversation like men.

I’m in a exact same situation with someone who I raised in the game as well. And what it really is is the lil bro has to create their own identity outside of big bro and having big bro around reminds them that they wouldn’t be where they’re at if it wasn’t for Big bro. That’s something that lil bro’s ego can’t take. So they’ll seek to destroy them i.e the snitch label to try to lessen their overall impact on their lives. It’s some bullshit.
