Dehydrating Onions, Shallots and Jalapenos| Is dehydrating in a garage worth it? How they came out

I was going through my pantry and noticed I'm just about out of dehydrated jalapenos and I didn't have any onions or shallots other than some store bought dehydrated onions. So I had bought some onions, shallots and jalapenos and to keep them from spoiling I attempted to dehydrate them in my garage. I started this project on Tuesday 7/1/24, the Shallots and Jalapenos finished on Thursday evening 7/4/24 and the onions finished Saturday 7/6/24, almost a week later. So, while I'm happy how they came out, I think it was a waste of energy resources and time. So moving forward I will have to find a spot in our 5th wheel to continue my projects.

Hi Renee, I guess it's always a good idea to have a good assessment of dried veggies on hand. You just never know when you're going to need them. Love to see the process and how long it takes to do something like drying. Some projects take longer than others, so we have to make sure we have the time for the project. Another great video to keep on the back burner. Thanks for sharing.
