ok this is one of the reasons I want to learn music. Imagine a boss fight with a character thats kind of glitchy, and in the game the OST for the boss fight isnt actually a set order, but rather sections that randomly swap themselves never letting you really know what direction the song is going. It would add characterization and be really cool to listen to. Just like how this has him playing basically metroidvania but randomly going to different parts of the song. (mostly phase 2)

This reminds me of a thing my high school orchestra conductor told me about Sergei Rachmaninoff and his last piece, the Symphonic Dances. Rachmaninoff was obsessed with the Dies Irae, the medieval chant of death and divine judgement, much like how Sans judges you for your sins (which are crawling on your back) before obliterating you. Throughout his career in composing and piano performance (just like Dein0) Rachmaninoff often snuck the Dies Irae into his compositions. When he was old and approaching death himself, he became even more obsessed with death and the afterlife, and by proxy the Dies Irae. Symphonic Dances was a Russian-style ballet for orchestra, but in the final movement the Dies Irae gradually comes in out of nowhere (pretty similarly to something like Rush E-vania) repeating and gradually overtaking the ballet melody and eventually Rachmaninoff just says "f*ck it, this is a Dies Irae now." The piece ends with the brass screaming death as loud as they can and supposedly the listener at the end just straight-up dies, like how ending Megalovaniavania with The Licc just ended my life.
