Hach, da war ich 12. Hab die CD aus irgendeinem Grund aus der Stadtbücherei mitgenommen. Die hat mich so berührt, dass ich einen Brief an DL geschrieben habe, hilflos versucht habe zu beschreiben, was da in mir widerhallt: Sehnsucht und Melancholie, und Dunkles. Ich glaube, vorher kannte ich nur die Backstreet Boys, Caught in the Act und wie sie alle hießen. Ich hab die CD niemandem vorgespielt, ich dachte, dass das eh keiner versteht. Heute höre ich die Musik teilweise anders, viel abgeklärter, aber Return macht mich immer noch so rastlos, glücklich und traurig.

Der Startschuss! Ich war gerade mal 10 Jahre alt, als meine Schwester und Ich das Video zum ersten Mal gesehen haben auf Viva Zwei. Deine Lakaien haben uns seitdem nicht mehr losgelassen. Unangefochtene Nummer Eins in meinem Herzen! Danke für die vielen schönen Konzerte und Limited Edition CDs, da schlägt das Fan-Herz immer ganz wild!

I found it hard to cope with Deine Lakaien earlier works, but the Kasmodiah album got that special melodic mixture of dark wave synthmelodies, traditional singing and classical textures, which I really felt for. Great album, with songs to be remembered alot!

That would be amazing. I have been planning to travel to Germany to see DL, but I just graduated college and its still a bit out of my budget (not that it matters much with Covid anyway). I would travel anywhere they decided to go in the US since its a bit more feasible for me at the moment. I sincerely wish for that in the future, but regardless, I will figure out how to see them live someday.
