POWERFUL insight! I agree. The old guard is upset because they can't control Coach Deion. They have tried hazing him, attacking him, lying to him, and willfully misinterpreting his words, YET he continues to be his authentic self and make courageous decisions. He's a pioneer and won't let the powerbrokers dictate how he navigates in the world. Many leaders are watching and admiring his gravitas. They may not comment on social media, but his business prowess and resilience are constantly discussed as he demonstrates what it means to be unboxed, unbothered, unbossed, and unencumbered by social/coaching paradigms. I pray for him because I want people to know that they don't have to compromise their personhood, humanity, and dignity to comply with rules/norms that undermine who they are and what they are called to be. Thank you for making the video. I will share it. Blessings!

He’s not gonna filter himself to fit in, he’s not gonna act fake. Deions gonna be whose he’s always been. He’s got his shades, his chains. He’s been that forever. I want to thank Phillip Dukes for telling it simply how it is. Deion Sanders is one of my favorite players & men all-time. He doesn't sugarcoat, or do what everyone else does through his career & life. He's always kept it real. He's a God fearing, confident, optimistic, positive, appreciative, humble black man. I believe some peoples insecurities get to them seeing a man like prime. He doesn't hate, speculate, assume, or talk about others. He doesn't have time to be like that. He has never been like that. You see through his actions & how many truly value their friendship with him. Deion is a people person, family man, & cares 4 others. People don't know his relationship with the players, but in young men, pride & ego get the best of us. It's apart of growing up. If I could pick any coach right now, it's Deion. The transfer portal wasn't created by Deion. Prime is one of one. People need 2 check themselves, especially if you haven't walked on a similar path, because ain't no one been in primes Shoes. Coach keeping trusting the lord & doing what you do. With greatness always comes hate, envy, false narratives, & jealousy. Skobuffs. We here!.

Glad to see that it wasn't another *On3* "hit piece on Deion Sanders and family." However, I do have one minor point of disagreement with your take. The Colorado Buffaloes record was 4-8 in 2023. However, the team had an opportunity to win 6 of the 8 games it lost. In fact, each of the 6 losses were by one score or less. So, where's the disagreement? Coach Prime is already winning! How is he already winning? He's demonstrated overwhelming proof of concept of The Prime Way. However unorthodox to some, Colorado's overall performance last year successfully demonstrates that you can rebuild a team from the transfer portal. This year, after utilizing the transfer portal again to improve every position, he will be even more successful and win more games. Colorado is all but assured to earn a bowl bid this year, but will likely be more successful than that. Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders completely rebuilt a Power 4 football team in 2 years--Legendary!!
@davisjohnson76917 ай бұрын
Well said. And by the looks of the way he did the portal this year, he’s learned from his mistakes. He built inside out, instead of outside in. He brought in 2 of the best interior linemen who entered the portal this year (Justin Mayers, Tyler Johnson), he brought in an experienced right tackle (Kahlil Benson), and the best left tackle in the 2024 class Jordan Seaton. Not only that, he’s brought in alot of depth along the line too. He brought in great depth pieces who are not only good depth, but young. Guys who can start next year given a little development, like the kid from Texas, and the kid from Clemson…. Not to mention what he did on the d-line. Chidoze Nwankwo, Samuel Okunlola, Taurean Carter, Dayon Hayes, BJ Green. All proven guys. All of them have shown they can play at this level. Not to mention a guy like Rayyan Buell from Ohio, who was a 4 star prospect in the portal. And he brought in depth… We know Prime can attract skill guys. And he did. He replaced Xavier Weaver with Lahjontay Wester and Will Sheppard. That’ll more then cover for the lost production. We lost RB’s? No problem. We brought in an 1000 yard rusher, and a starting quality RB from OSU, who was buried on the depth chart, cause he had 2 of the best RB’s in the country ahead of him. Colorado is gonna shock people this year. They’ve been sneaky good this offseason. People wrote them off, but they’re gonna find out real soon. This is a complete football team, with depth everywhere. Something we lacked last year. This is a better team, playing an easier schedule then last year. 6-7 games is the floor for this team.

@@zachcoggins9018Which philosophy for player acquisition are you referring to?? He never said using the transfer portal was his long-term formula. He said that he had to use this method to build a team that could compete fast. He should not have to take HS players and suffer losing seasons for years when there are better + experienced players in the portal (free agency vs. the draft philosophy). He has built a team that is properly balanced with seniority and younger talent. Over the next few seasons, he will add less from the portal because a balanced foundation is present. People blatantly ignore the bulk of the transfer portal players taken have the same numbers of eligibility as players coming out of HS (3-4 years) PLUS experience on the collegiate level. He has said repeatedly that he will be there next season and there is no reason for him to leave. He has created a high level coaching staff, added good young players that can help win in the future, and his team is the most talked about in all of sports ( he lives for the prime time 😎).

Not to include the fact that 247 sports has updated Oregons total team transfer portal ranking to number 2 in the nation, but yet Colorado still remains at number 6 despite signing 3 other players. Colorado is stuck at a 64.75 behind FSU at 64.76 and the website hasn’t updated Colorado’s ranking despite them recently signing Ethan Boyd and RJ Johnson. If they practice truth in reporting, Colorado is supposed to be in 5th place close to jumping in front of BAMA to taking the 4th spot. I’ve been checking the ranking 3 times each day so I’ve noticed that they are picking and choosing what teams they will and will not update.

Why Hate? Hate is learned behavior. It is the same character flaw that murder innocent people, enslave people, rape women, sale their husbands and children, unleash dogs on families as they demonstrate peacefully and fire hose innocent people and burn churches. Therefore, there are people who hate Coach Sanders because he makes Colorado relevant. He brings culture, growth and economic support to the process of life and rebuild. His overall coaching style towards his players, staff, supporters and fans is well documented on a daily basis. Talking about building a foundation, I thought the military training was outstanding. His strengthening and conditioning program is impressive and stands on excellence. His Support Team is well experienced and polished to include player development for players who are interested or let their issues be known so they can get help. I look forward to having one of the crab cakes Chef Carl advertises on Uncle Neely Pre-Game show. It was to Coach Sanders advantage and his responsibility to bring in a coaching staff he could trust to deliver (representing 127 years of pro football experience.) The Portal took on a life of its own with NIL. It is not an invention of Coach Sanders. To suggest his behavior to be erratic and unprofessional is an insult and it defames his character. The First Amendment is a Right, but Defamation/Slander is illegal. Coach Sanders only responded back to one individual as a father not as a coach. All continued drama, comments and insults have been generated by the media, haters and/or former players. The responses came from his sons, current players and supporters. Just because you believe in God and have Faith, does not make you perfect. However, I see a man, father, human being and professional trying maybe his hardest to the best of his ability to be a good person and be his authentic self. His life is football and I believe all things enjoyable to him, he brings to football. Looking forward to Miss Peggy Bowl Game. Continued Blessings and Success to the Buff Nation and to On3Recruits. He starts winning, they’ll look past everything and say it works…if he fails, they’ll feel vindicated that he was always about himself…etc. I could care less, but understand why it rubs people the wrong way.

I think you overlooked the ACTUAL reason why Colorado is currently getting more hate. Yes, it started when Coach Sanders took over as HC. But the hate is centered around Colorado FANS (specifically the new bandwagon fans) being more obnoxious than Dallas Cowboy fans. The "hate" for the team is secondary, only bc if the team does bad, the fans "should" be quiet. The NEW Colorado fans have proven that they don't know much about football and the history of football, by the way they talk and repond to things - and THAT was spurs on the hate

Enjoyed watching this show ! IMO, entertaining and educational ! Deion Sanders maybe the greatest college football player ever, he was electric with speed, quickness, and ball skills second to absolutely no one. Then unbelievably in the same day played in the NFL and major league baseball game doing what he does making electrifying plays displaying his talents. His a winner !! As the Head football coach for Colorado he has done an exceptional job exceeding expectations in year one. Oh yes indeed he will win a National Championship within 5 years. Growing up in Birmingham Alabama my Dad was a HUGH Bama and since the late 60's i've pulled for the Tide.

DUKE YOU JUST DROPPED IT LIKE IT’S HOT! Straight up TRUTH! The only things I’d like to add is what Stephen A. said: “Prime can be and do what he does BECAUSE OF WHAT HE HAS ACCOMPLISHED! SHEDEUR AND SHILO CAN’T ACT LIKE THEIR FATHER BECAUSE THEY HAVENT DONE OR ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING YET! This will only bring more hatred for themselves! Now back on Prime who I believe will always be HIM but will learn to be more sensitive and compassionate with players who may not be right for the team (see how I phrased that) because other players and families are paying attention to how their loved ones are being handled! The last points you made ARE SO VERY IMPORTANT: PRIME SHOULD GET ON HIS PRIVATE JET AND PERSONALLY VISIT THE TOP THREE QUARTERBACK RECRUITS FOR 2025 -26! If he wants Shedeur’s successor to be elite, Prime has to pull out all stops! IF YOU REALLY WANT THAT PLAYER, SHOW THEM PERSONALLY! That’s what Saban, Sark, Smart, Riley, and Lanning would do!

Compassionate? These young boys and yes I said boys want the adult money but want to be treated like children. Can’t have it both ways. He teaching them to be adults. @@Shekenben The fore mentioned coaches all have something in common: THEY COMPETE FOR AND WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS BECAUSE OF THE ELITE QUARTERBACKS THAT THEY RECRUIT AND SIGN! @dustinoutlaw1029, I am a Native Coloradan and have been a CU Buffaloes fan since 1973. If you do the math, I have been a loyal fan for 50 years!!!, I am 58 years old, and I already know that I am much older than you are. Fans like you make me sick because you don't Ride and Die with the Colorado Buffaloes, you are the perfect example of a "Seasonal Fan" Coach Bill McCartney aka "Coach MAC" caught hell and was eventually fired by the CU Administration after he helped Colorado win the 1991 NCAA FBS National College Football Championship because he started talking about God and the Promise Keepers and Fans like you bounced because according to some Coach Mac should have kept his mouth shut about God and just Coached Football. Here is what Coach McCartney did for Colorado Buffaloes Football: ***Head coach at Colorado After eight years as an assistant at Michigan, McCartney was hired to replace Chuck Fairbanks as head coach at the University of Colorado on June 9, 1982. In his first season, the Colorado Buffaloes compiled a record of 2-8-1. After improving to 4-7 in 1983, Colorado sustained a 1-10 campaign in 1984, but McCartney was given a contract extension nonetheless. In his fourth season in 1985, McCartney switched to the wishbone offense in the spring, then guided the Buffs to a 7-4 regular season and a berth in the Freedom Bowl, where they lost to Washington. In 1986, CU earned its first victory over Big Eight Conference powerhouse Nebraska since 1967. After modestly successful seasons in 1987 and 1988, McCartney steered his team toward national prominence. After the 1988 season, the Buffaloes' star quarterback Sal Aunese was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died in the middle of the 1989 season. Nonetheless, Colorado won all eleven of its regular season games including victories over ranked Washington, Illinois, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. The top-ranked Buffaloes faced #4 Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl on New Year's, but lost 21-6. Colorado opened the 1990 season ranked fourth with a game against Tennessee in the inaugural Disney Pigskin Classic in Anaheim, California, which ended in a 31-31 tie. A comeback win over Stanford and a one-point loss to Illinois leveled the Buffaloes' record at 1-1-1. Colorado then won the remainder of their regular season games. Their winning streak, highlighted by wins over ranked Washington, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, was not without controversy. In a game against Missouri on October 6, the officials mistakenly allowed an extra down on which Colorado scored the winning touchdown as time expired. The game, known as the Fifth Down Game, became one of the most notorious officiating gaffes in college football history. Contentions notwithstanding, Colorado rose to #1 in the rankings and again faced Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl. The Buffaloes won a closely played game 10-9, aided by a questionable and debated clipping call that negated a late punt return touchdown by Rocket Ismail of Notre Dame, and earned a share of the national title. Colorado was first in the final AP Poll while Georgia Tech was first in the Coaches' Poll. The following year, the Buffaloes tied Nebraska for the Big Eight title and lost to Alabama in the Blockbuster Bowl. In 1992, Colorado was 9-1-1 in the regular season, but lost to Syracuse in the Fiesta Bowl. In 1994, McCartney's final year, he coached the Buffaloes to a victory at Michigan, where McCartney had spent eight years as an assistant. Colorado won the game 27-26 on a 64-yard Hail Mary pass from Kordell Stewart to Michael Westbrook as time expired, which has since become known as The Miracle at Michigan. The Buffaloes posted an 11-1 record in 1994, capped by a win over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. At the end of the 1994 season, McCartney retired from coaching at the age of 54. McCartney holds records for the most games coached (153), most wins (93), and most conference wins (58) in the history of the Colorado Buffaloes football program. @dustinoutlaw1029, you grow up on Google, Suri & Alexa and you still refuse to do your research before you start running your mouth, amazing simply amazing!!! I am fortunate enough to have watched Deion Sanders aka "Coach Prime" play in both the NFL & MLB were he was dominant and here is what lies the problem for so called Fans like yourself. Colorado Buffaloes Football has been trash for years and if you're a loyal fan like myself you support your team not your feelings and the fact that you have the balls to claim you're a Colorado Native I have to question??? If you don't like Coach Prime so be it, I Ride and Die with my Colorado Buffaloes period!!! Now go sit your ass down somewhere because you make absolutely no sense!!! You should have saved your comment for another team not Coach Prime and CU Buffaloes.
