Man what if he bails after this big speech later on or has a tragic season? The jury will be out on his head if he can't be a better coach this season. Year 2 he probably needed to bring in some more new players but 40/41 was another rebuilding process again. No set system in place, new coordinators, who also came in late is a recipe for disaster. Team has some better pieces but can they have the communication on the field to make it work. Reminder that there are no practice games to play and work out the kinks. They will have to do it from the get go.

If a school wants to keep a coach for 7 or 10 years then why only sign that coach to a 3 year contract? So they can get rid of you cheap. Thats not how the world works. If he finishes his contract, then you can't say anything about him leaving.

It’s funny hearing people judge from a distance. Most coaches as a whole are not successful and they get 3+ yrs. These same coaches can fail at recruiting and fail at programs fund raising. So if Deion never wins he still has better value than most coaches. The game is important but $$ is everything.
