Yes, it's a mod. He was in the original Tecmo Super Bowl, but on defense only. We added him to offense because he also did KR/PR.

What if Deion got hurt on offense? Who would you replace him with on defense?

Each player is coded separately in the game. So there's one entry of Deion on offense and a separate entry on defense. When he gets hurt on offense, he's only out for WR and kick/punt return. He's still active on the defensive side.
