Fun Fact 1 : KOS-MOS Archetype is actually the favorite version of Takahashi, ver. 2 being his second Fun Fact 2 : The visual idea behind OG KOS-MOS was a "robo girl in a bondage-type outfit". But since CHOCO (chara designer of Xenosaga & recently the Ouroboros in Xeno 3) didn't knew what to do with that, Takahashi gave him "pics of one of my favorite adult film actresses" Nobody will see this but I think it's funny.

Why cant JRPGs have good stories like this anymore? Even though the second title from the trilogy is lackluster in comparison to it's counterparts, Xenosaga from a script standpoint is stupidly superior to any rpg we have today. The universe is just as complex as a bunch of square enix try to be with myriad of terminologies and secondary plot lines but still manages to have them all make sense and tie together without jarring plot holes, all the party members are fully fleshed out instead of placeholder stereotypes, and the story doesn't shy away from very heavy handed topics. I WANT MY HD PORT NOW PLZ! ♥

@@OutsiderAus10 Xenoblade is better gameplay-wise, however xenosaga is way superior in term of plot, xc 1-2 fell in the anime tropes, cliche or one dimensional characters compared to xenosaga which is more complex, mature and unique in term of writing. However, xenosaga and xenogears both have a weakest entry or bad part episode 2 for xenosaga and the all cd2 of xenogears, xenoblade just doesn’t have a weak entry and is more constant in term of quality for each entry.

As a fan of Xeno1 & 3 and never really having looked into 2. My thoughts are this. Some of the characters look fine in this animation/art style such as Ziggy, Jin and Pelegri while other characters like Momo,Kos Mos and Jr look straight out of uncanny valley. Also same with the Voice acting. Some of its fine like Jr & Allen’s VA’s but Kos Mos and Shions are scuffed to high hell.

Some voice actors were the same throughout the series (Albedo and Rubedo), and some were replaced for this game but continued to X3 as well (chaos). Shion, KOS-MOS, and MOMO were by far the worse in this game - I'm really glad they got the voices from X1 back for X3. Lia Sergeant as Shion, Crispin Freeman as Albedo, and Brianne Siddall as Rubedo are all the god tier performances.

The reason why they changed it was due to the massive success of Final Fantasy X during this time they wanted to go for a more realistic approach to sell more copies of the game and not make it look like generic anime. I'm here in order to play III, played a bit of II and hated it, there's nothing to collect (no equipment at all, why?) and the combat lacks options. It's constantly awkward, battles have insane delays before starting which kills the mood, and I tried the UNDUB version as well as the DUB and both are awful in some areas, MOMO's english voice is so bad and everyone sounds bored except for Albedo, and in the japanese version KOS-MOS is just horrible sounding after hearing the DUB.

It's clear that this game was kinda poorly planned. They really had to scramble to fit the pieces together after Takahashi got removed from the project. Hopefully Monolith Soft doesn't make this mistake with Xenoblade 3. Xenoblade 1, X, and 2 are relatively complete products, and even Xenosaga III is complete, though the staff suffered from low morale afterwards.

A tonne of XS2 tracks aren't on the OST and therefore aren't officially named. According to Max Galactica some might just be baked into the audio of the cutscene, so there isn't even a way to rip them, although there are known to be some tracks that aren't stored in the same place as the others so there's a chance that a few just haven't been found yet. In other words, name it what you like.

I'm sorry to say that that track has no name and, as far as I can tell, essentially no documentation at all. Many tracks in XSII were never released in any official capacity, and it's assumed that the cutscene tracks that weren't officially released can never be isolated because they're hard-baked into the cutscene's audio. You could always try isolating the audio yourself.

This games biggest miss was the art design change and character changes.. The swap to the hyper real appearance was just... way out of left field. Story and combat and music were great but WHY did they alter the characters so much... And then correct it with 3

Game was such a disappointment but the scene where omega awakens from miltia stuck with me. The entire federation and Utic fleet is about to get wiped out and instead of fleeing they just go out like ballers duking it above an exploding planet like nbd

This game was so painful to play lmao the graphics for in game play were absolutely terrible and i rly dont know why, bc the 1st game wasnt like that. In general everything is awkward , the voices were bad and the in game music is just plain weird. HOWEVER. When they actually tried, it was a better experience
