deja vu || Daisy, Lincoln & Sousa

Considering the last time Lincoln was mentioned before Daisy met Sousa was four days previously and she still looked incredibly pained when Simmons brought him up, it's not a hard stretch to say that she was going through EXTREME deja vu when she started things with Sousa. Additionally, Jiaying and Gordon, both mentors for both Daisy and Lincoln, appeared in Season 7; Daisy was cut open by Nathaniel Malick (Hive in the original timeline); and Malick even mentioned the fanatical religion of Hydra being obsessed with Hive before Daisy was experimented on by him, which was exactly what had happened to Lincoln in Season 2 when he was cut open by Dr List, before he killed Hive in Season 3.
I really wish Daisy had told Sousa about Lincoln!!!

So glad to see so much AWESOME fan art for the GREATEST show ever to grace ABC even if the MCU does not accept it as canonical, that is their loss because this show developed so perfectly. There are!!! And that's why I wish Daisy had told Sousa about Lincoln because it's IMPOSSIBLE that she wasn't thinking about Lincoln because basically every Dousy moment had a StaticQuake parallel, not to mention that Jiaying and Gordon had to have been MAJOR triggers for her and the last time Lincoln was mentioned to her was 4 days before she met Sousa. Since she didn't tell Sousa about Lincoln, I just ended up thinking that she was projecting, at least at the beginning. 😭

HAHA, I ship StaticQuake for life. The way I see it, the last time Lincoln was mentioned was 4 days before Daisy met Sousa and she still looked incredibly pained; and the day before she met Sousa, she asked Deke to kill Freddy Malick, who did literally nothing to her, except father Gideon and Nathaniel, who were primarily responsible for Lincoln's death. Add on all these parallels and the fact that Daisy never told Sousa about Lincoln made it impossible for me to think that she wasn't projecting. If Daisy had told Sousa about Lincoln, I probably would have accepted it, but given that she didn't and there were all these parallels and she was in love with Lincoln for like 5/7ths of the show, I ship StaticQuake HAHA 😍

why do I feel like this video is a bit of an insult to those who like Daisy and Sousa together. can’t people just be allowed to like who/what they like without it being compared to something else. 🤷‍♀️

Personally, I think it's just a matter of perspective. If you find it insulting, then that's your perspective. Other people enjoy it as pointing out the parallels between the two relationships. And it's not as though I'm making an edit about Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Basset and Sabrina Carpenter (or whoever Olivia wrote deja vu about). I made this edit about fictional characters, not real life people. So I'm sorry if you don't like it, but I love my edit and quite a few other people do as well. Have a great day! 😊

@@emilygumal4658 I didn’t say *I* found it insulting, I said those who like Daisy and Sousa. and of course everyone has their own opinions, this video is yours, which is totally fine! I commented because I watched it and wondered, yes my opinion, why people can’t be left to like who they like without their ships having to be compared to/reduced to being just copies of others. Lots of people take comfort in their ships. and while there may be some similarities in a couple of their lines/scenes (like there are sooooo many similarities in other scenes/lines from other characters on AoS), I think there are a LOT of differences too.

@@fthisshitimout I understand where you're coming from regarding people taking comfort from their ships, but I do that too. And I love Daisy and Lincoln and I drew comfort from making this edit and it was fun for me. Comparing the number of people who have liked this video to those who have disliked it, a lot more people have liked it than disliked it. If people don't like it, they don't have to watch it. It's as simple as that.
