double is easily one of the best characters in the game, arguably top 3. plus her animations are pulled from almost the entire cast so it gets a little confusing seeing her move around

Full green bar means you cant be combo'd for long and take less damage from combos until the meter goes back down. Its basically just a limit on how much someone can be combo'd

How do you play this game and be good!!!!

Learn your characters buttons and special moves as well as what properties they have (so you can learn follow ups). Practice and play with them alot against people around your level. Once the buttons and moves are in your long term memory it becomes alot easier to learn neutral, react to situations, convert into damage on hit and confirm into a blockstring on block. Then do that for 1 or 2 more characters maybe if you feel you want assists and DHCs to help out with neutral, combos, and oki setups. Certain characters like Peacock will need assists but characters like Eliza and Fillia can do fine without them. Others are in a middle ground where they do better with assists but can function without them like Squigly (I think? she really benefits from assists that give time for charges and other characters can DHC into her supers for some crazy combos/oki/pressure. Her kit seems like it could function on it's own though but I don't know for sure). As far as defense goes, learning pushblock is a must. If you have a team and not solo, learning when you can and can't use Alpha Counters is also important.
