The Ultimate Cerebro Challenge - Marvel Snap

The card Cerebro can be quite good in the proper build -- generally c2 and c3 are commonly played. However, what if we HAD to build around Cerebro from all numbers ranging from 0 to 10? I thought this was a really fun concept, so I made it into a speedrun format and I think we did okay! Let me know what you think about this, and if you think you can beat me!

Indeed... I always have this issue.. When I do play Cerebro the game literal wil do only locations that crew me.. Monster Island, Negative Zone, the one where they get boosted by +5, the one where you get +1 every turn, etc... :/ But then when I play a different deck, lets say Surfer I run into the locations that crew that deck.. Like why? Is it just coincidence, doesn't feel like it can be when it's literal 8 out of 10 games where it happens! Or locations that legit help my opponent, a movement location the 1 time you run into a move deck. Discard or destroy locations against those decks, etc... Might just be my luck or lack of it though. But yeah, I mostly avoid playing Cerebro, due to that reason.

@@dachivale5319 it's called confirmation bias. You will remember the games which confirm your intuition, "locations play against me", and forgot the other

@@laraphinerie6704 I know what its called and I know how it works. Doesnt take away that it happens very often though. Specifically when you play a new deck it feels like it. When the first 7/8 games you play with something new you see specific locations that are bad for that deck, sorry but at that point it feels very suspicious. 😔

The average person would not bet $5 on a coin flip with the promise of receiving an extra $10 on a 50/50 chance. even though the expect value of the bet is $7.50, the loss of $5 is felt more strongly than the gain of $10 to make $15 total. for most people it takes $20 being put up by the other party for them to be willing to put $5 on a 50/50 bet. here is the video by veritasium on it kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHO7Xn6rocx9Z9E

Great video with a really interesting concept. It's intriguing to see "how good" each cerebro deck is based on the time it took you. My only slight complaint is your timer does say exactly how long each "split" last.

@@DekksterSnap yea there is I think but you need to do a second run for the setting to work (that’s why if you watch a speed run when a split is going well it will be green and show how much time was saved, or red and how much was last compared to the prior run)

I think your C6 deck could get a little better if you stuck Bucky and carnage in there. Carnage can munch on Bucky and Hood to get to 6, or a groot that misses. Also Angela gets to 6 if she gets 3 plays so she could work too

Still easy enough to game having cerebro in the deck and winning. Extra rule should be added -cerebro needs to be buffing X amount of cards at that cerebro number level. And - X amount of cards need to have power = to the cerebro level Just setting up some decks to do this challenge and without the above it's allt easier to game what is a valid deck. And only having one of the above rules let's you game eg - cerebro0 but use mister negative. I'll be doing my attempt with the above two. The second rule is Def shown in your decks. The first makes it a true cerebro challenge :)

I played lots of C2 and C3 deck, and figured that storm is bad for C2 as you lock lanes for you to place cards. C3 you definitely need valkrie and magik to control and gain extra turn for more plays. thats my personal opinion, so just putting it out there

takeaway: cerebro 8 and 9 are the best cerebro decks, hands down.
