It’s kinda hard to explain- but lemme try🥲 Basically, Deku’s dad is kind of manipulative? He really only talks to Deku when he’s bored or when it benefits him. He wants Deku’s image on him to look like the “good guy” sort of. At 1:36 it’s like Deku doesn’t care what his dad does to him, as long as he stays with him. Hopefully that makes sense, sorry if not.
