Not gunna lie I was waiting all day yesterday just to see you guys react - Love you guys the most - Dude he got all might shading in that last punch at the end and I got so hype - and he did the smile when he did that last punch with the lightning which was fkn epic - (I think Eri might have had an effect on nighteyes power because its time related so maybe he couldn't see - I don't read manga thats just my guess) I WAS SO HYPE for this. My personal theory is that Nighteye believes in the observer theory, ie. that there are multiple potential futures, but the one he sees is essentially "locked in" because he's seen it. But Eri basically rewinds a person's personal timeline. Essentially she's constantly rewinding Midorya, never actually letting him reach the point in Nighteye's vision. She had basically created a new personal reality for Midorya.

I dont think Eri is like GER in that aspect, Nighteye's quirk works with the information he knows about everything. The thing is that since he didnt know what Eri's quirk was, he couldnt predict that Deku would synergize her quirk with his weakness, making him practically invincible

Well, yes and no. His quirk is called "foresight", after all. It basically allows him to see the most predictable outcome. A foresight is not like seeing the future, since little differences could drastically change it. When he uses it for the next seconds, it could be seen as looking at the future, but when he looks further it only gets less and less accurate, mainly because the further away the future he sees is, lesser the information is for him to work him, hence he has no "future sight" but only foresight

Also, I wouldn't use the name of the quirk to describe what it does, I'd use what the anime tells us. And the anime tells us that he sees the future of an individual. Also, he says that it's never failed, given the assumption that he's probably used it tons of times already, you'd think that a bunch of his "foresights" would end up wrong if it's based on the most predictable future. Another thing is that he already knows that seeing the far future is less accurate, this means that he's tested foresight far into the future beforehand and it still never failed

Deku at 100% is insane! Super Saiyan like aura, bioelectricity, glowing hair and eyes. phenomenal speed and power. And those consecutive punches scene...So much Saitama in that scene, but the impacts afterwards were so fucking smooth, each hit just felt powerful! Then the last punch...Has to be the most powerful punch he's done. He went all out quirk and body to finish the fight!

After seeing many reactions to it i love how all people enjoying the animation, the shots and the music, cause its really good. Imo one of the best animations til date. The fight itself was a bit short but the quality was amazing, so im totally fine with it ir even glad that they havent made a long trash fight. BUT im still seeing all these toxic manga asss readers (im reading it too but its not that hard to enjoy both) who are hating on the anime over and over for no reason. If u dont like it dont watch it or just be like "yea it wasnt for ma taste/ im not a big fan of the anime" But running arround and telling how fucking shit the anime is wont make ur attention seekers right. Tbh i loved that the fight was short. deku 100% is way too much to handle for Overhaul. Other animes sometimes do this pwerscaling thing where they level out things a bit for the sake of tension, but here, they just went for the all out display of difference in power. I don't think Deku could change the future. Eri rewinded him to give him an advantage. In the future Nighteye saw, Eri never did that. Deku was supposed to die. Eri was the one who changed the future. Deku seemed like he was supposed to die before he did the %100 percent full cowling, but I guess he changed it enough to extend his death. Eri truly changed the future though. Deku only stalled against the 'inevitable', at least until Eri stepped in.

Hmm, I think it's unfair to conclude that it only happens to him though. And I wouldn't say "saved", since he still used his own power to get out of the situations he was in. Allmight has been "saved" by his students. Likewise Aizawa during the first season. In the future, you'd even see Endeavor being "saved", I won't disclose the details though.

Manga has spectacular detailed drawing to really bring intensity in some scenes and still shots that you otherwise wouldn't be able to in the anime (Shigaraki's close up creepy smile in the mall is one that comes to my mind always). The pacing's different too since it comes from turning pages rather than watching an animation. And while it may sound cliché to say this, the censorship of violence in the anime in SOME parts do take out from the scene. Kirishima VS Rappa in the manga illustrated his struggle more because his arms were actually all peeled off of his skin by blocking, and he kept hardening the flesh underneath when he says "if it cracks, harden again." He was a BLOODY MESS in the end. On the other hand, the anime delivers wonderful music and voice acting to scenes, alongside a REALLY good direction. Often they'll be able to use 2-3 manga chapter into one episode, and position flashbacks a bit differently than the manga, in order to make the whole episode wrap up satisfyingly. Deku VS Muscular is one of the best example in that regards. Studio Bones are super good at adaptation in the sense that they use the medium of "animation" to do stuff that the manga can't, since they know they can't replicate everything from the manga. This is fine, since both mediums have different merits, but Bones go above and beyond in many scenes. So with the way I look at it, I can appreciate both medium in their unique functions, rather than "side by side" comparison or being a manga\anime elitist. I'm just REALLY happy Studio Bones are the one who picked up MHA (and Mob Psycho 100).

@@darthsyncro1017 You could surmise that emotion is another limiter seeing as how her power only reacts when seeing the cape and she is feeling very emotional when she was told her quirk was a blessing, not a curse but it also explains why they needed to please her so much, getting toys and another thing is that when she is hurt in the flashbacks of Chisaki it only activates after she is hurt suggesting that her power comes into effect after feeling and emotions activate.

just a random thing to say. chisaki is a really good villain. heres an explanation why. first of all, chisaki wants money and goes to extreme lengths to get them like cutting eri to get the boosting or removal of quirks drug. plus the fact he is willing to kill his comrades really made me like him as a villain. he is also really smart like when he fought mirio, he covered the exits and healing chronos concussion when mirio threw him. the writing for chisaki was really great. also bonus fact: the part where deku punched alot was animated by the person who animated the one punch man punches.

For everyone who didn't understand what happened in that last scene with Sir Nighteye and why he smiled. So basically we were seeing the future of Deku's fight through Nighteye's quirk, and that's why he smiled in the end, and also why you could see Overhaul still in his beast mode form when he took over the second guy. So that ending was basically Nighteye coming to terms with the new future he didn't see coming.

Nejire can still move and fight because she's trained for exactly that situation. Her power converts life force into energy that she can attack with. As such, she is used to its draining effects. He could sap her life force, but she's still trained to keep moving because she's used to spending it on a regular basis.

It also transfers their own personal quirks to whoever inherits it. Remember when Deku saw a vision of the previous One For All users in his fight in the sports festival with Shinso, but All Might said he'd never seen anything like that? Deku is becoming even more in tune with One For All than even All Might was. In the manga, Deku has received (still can't control it though) a new quirk called "Black Whip" that was the quirk of one of the OFA users before Nana Shimura. So yes, the quirk is growing stronger alongside Deku, stronger than All Might or even All For One ever realized. Deku just can't handle the raw power of 100% yet.

as amazing as this episode is I am super confused by the decision to change deku's finishing blow. If he ran through someone with a punch like that they'd be dead, in the manga he was about to punch him, realized he was going to hit some residential buildings/kill the fucking man, and so decided to toss him like all might did to nomu in season 1 instead. As someone who gets tired of too much talking during fights I'm glad they didn't go through him thinking about that or anything, but they could have still animated it so that it makes sense

Some theories gonna come up after this episode.. One of which could be that Deku was put down asleep like Chisaki's master or just straight out killed, and now he is just dreaming everything. That could explain why Shigaraki's quirk is completely different from what it used to be. But that's just a theory. I hope we get to see Overhaul in the future as well
