Traded my cousin out of a Del 8 track in 1970, wore it out driving around and listening in my 64 Malibu convertible with an automatic radio 8 track player, good old days

Del Reeves was so multi-talented, and he should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame. I'm sure he'll eventually be inducted post-humously, but it's very sad that he wasn't inducted before he died. We miss you, Del.

For those who don’t know, his full name is Franklin Delano Roosevelt Reeves. Unless time has confused me on that. And I believe he was one of maybe like 12 or 13 children? What an entertainer. I loved his Jimmy Dickens impersonation best of all. He had little Jimmy down, including guitar strum, stiff neck, etc.

Thanks for watching So Del Reeves middle name is Delano You are correct Del was the youngest of 11 I agree with you Del did a great Little Jimmy Dickens. Just about every Grand Ole Opry performance we played LJD would show up in our dressing room and of course Del would go into his LJD impersonations Tator would just stare at Del dead pan/face then when Del would finish LJD would say again with a straight face "Del if it wasn't for me you wouldn't have a show at all " lol Comedy gold for sure. I really miss Del and those good ole days Blessings to ya my friend Hooty Hoo 🙃

And they think HW was the rage. Dale had it all. Most of all Dale was true to himself. I will always remember our shows in Iowa.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. Big Jim, my uncle, was Del's steel player, so it's so wonderful to get to seer him play again as there aren't many video's that we've been able to find.

What a great tribute to Fats Domino. Fats was more Country than today's Country so called singers.

ALL OF THIS TALENT AND HIS GREATNESS ON A PERSONAL LEVEL AS A HUMAN BEING, AND YET HE NEVER GOT INTO THE CMHOF. SHAMEFUL, DISGRACEFUL. THERE'S SOMETHING EVIL ABOUT THIS GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES THAT IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR OTHER LEGENDS LIKE DAVID HOUSTON, ROY DRUSKY, SLIM WHITMAN, JERRY LEE LEWIS AND FREDDIE HART BEING SHUT OUT. (DEL SHOULD HAVE RECORDED THESE SONGS "STRAIGHT" AND GOT THEM RELEASED. THEY WOULD HAVE SOLD.

Hey Mikton Thank you kindly for your input Even though I do not know either why Mr Entertainer Del (and the other's mentioned) never got into the CMHOF But I agree with you 100% Thanks for stopping by come back and enjoy more of the old school of country music and entertainment Hooty Hoo 🙃
