Just to weigh in on the trail mix discussion, all of the savory components of trail mix (nuts, seeds, rice crackers, sesame sticks, etc.) can and should be eaten together in a handful. I'm not a huge fan of dried fruit or chocolate in a trail mix, but if it's there, I have to pick it out and eat it separately. I think the idea of a bespoke trail mix episode is a huge win. Also, all four finalists for the Ad Chad were great, but I think Lindsay would have been my pick.

The Doughboys show will have witnessed a trilogy of Trump elections. This is disappointing in so many ways.

The veggie protein options are frustrating because of a few reasons. 1) Veggie protein doesn't receive the government/local subsidies that meat production does. This makes it nearly impossible for them to compete on price. The government literally pays meat producers to over breed/produce meat to keep prices low. This means animals are born just to be thrown away. Nobody eats them. 2) The lack of volume means it is difficult to scale to a production size to compete with meat production, meaning less people buy it and the price stays high. 3) The stigma and expectations(it has to be BETTER than meat for people to buy it at the price point) means people don't order it and the price stays high. It really sucks because the price of meat doesn't account for his insane ecological price. It may be $2 for a cheap burger but you're paying for that in healthcare costs, environmental cleanup costs, etc. The price of meat is nowhere near what it actually costs us as a society. Even worse is our tax dollars go to subsidize every step of meat production from growing plants to feed animals to subsidizing producers for lost animals to subsidizing healthcare costs for people who eat themselves into the hospital on meat.
