Sadly most American Christians steeped in legalism and religiously. I laughed, I cried, I laughed I cried, I aoplauded living in San Francisco and can’t find a church where people know Jesus like this. So I commute long distance via KZbin to a church in Brooklyn New York and Sunday services and Tuesday night prayer meetings livestream. .

For me the excitement of Jesus touched me so much. 😂 Something I enjoy, that is writing stories has been an excuse to read books that are not good for me to read and take my time from spending time with him. The excuse I need material… but his story makes me want to write not with shame and not trying to use it as an excuse. But because I love to write and I will write with him. I was given a 20 year prison sentence in which i didnt know what i did but i prayed to God everyday and i said let your will be your will and not my will, 1 week before sentencing and then my lawyer calls me and says that the judge has dropped all charges and you now you're free man. Can’t stop crying and weeping when I look at this man and listen to his testimony I just see Jesus looking through him, he knows the heart of the Father. I realise as a Christian I have allowed what people did to me to cause me to fall apart and hide and fear has kept me hidden. I do have a relationship with Jesus and I am discovering His heart towards me. But I have allowed things into my heart I so desperately want rid of. This was crazy..I use a magnifying glass to read my bible and when I moved it this morning it slipped out from the book of Ephesians that I'd been reading last night before I went to bed...well I opened it up randomly and shoved it back in my bible and then later this morning when I was listening to this testimony...as your guest mentioned Daniel 10:12-14 I grabbed my bible to read that verse and wouldnt you know it, when I opened up where id "randomly" placed the magnifying glass...what book and verse was it in??? I follow Voice of the Martyrs and I've heard much about Evin prison, but your testimony puts a face to all those that suffer in silence for the name of Jesus. All the unknowns to me are known by God. I remember over 35 years ago a priest asked the congregation if we had a "one on one relationship with God" ... But he didn't tell us how ... I spent possibly the next 10 years wondering & searching (though not with all my heart, mind & strength - because I just didn't know any better then) ... But, my husband got saved at a catholic retreat & became a born again Christian there after. He prayed 7 years for me to be saved & I finally surrendered my life to Jesus. However it took another good few years for Jesus to completely transform me from in inside out. I know now that He is the author and finisher of my faith. That the good work He started in me, He will see it to fruition. I love how He disciplines me & helps me look for the treasure in my trial & how He teaches me to love others without conditions ... We serve an amazing God. Dan testimony is heart-wrenching but so encouraging and so assuring. God bless ❤

Reading what you have written has helped to strengthen me. I knew finally that God was real by reading a book about everything that points to Jesus being the only way and the truth to God. However I have been battling with having a personal relationship as l keep on feeling l am not good enough for His approval. Despite this God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit is/ are definitely changing me in the inside. I have heard of being reborn and the person instantly changing and being filled with the Holy Spirit. I have wondered why this didn't happen to me. I wished it would, but with me it's a steady, gradual process. Sometimes clear flashes of revelation followed by absorbing and continuing. It's so extremely encouraging to hear that it's been a process for you too. So many make it appear to be instant complete transformation. So wonderful and encouraging to hear Dan speaking and to read your comment. Thank you so very much. All l really know is that I just can't learn on my own understanding. @@annabambus6572 Amen… Salvation is a process where we’re being transformed into the image of Christ. Which is perfect love. ❤️ I love his patience and his example he has towards me. His mercy and grace has taught me so much. Apostle Paul said we see through a glass darkly right now…but when we see him face to face on that day, then we shall be just like him. The full transformation will finally be complete. In the meantime, we are fully loved, while we are trusting in him to transform our hearts and desires to become like his. What has made me change more than anything is his unconditional love for me 😇🤗❤️‍🔥😭 His love literally gave me the WANT TO! The desire to seek him and follow him. I needed love and a Heavenly Father who really cared. After years of having people throw the rules at me, and distorting my view of who God really is… I finally found him through a divine revelation and found out God loves me for real and cares about me in depths that are beyond my comprehension. It was life changing and my view of God was no longer like a hard employer that I’m serving just to try to escape hell. No one can get close to a father figure like that! Impossible! After my eyes were opened to the Truth, I was able to draw near to Father God, and even desired to! Then I read Romans 13:10 and realized that it’s through God’s love that we are transformed once we accept his gift of salvation through Jesus’s death for us on the cross. The cross then became a symbol of his great love for me, and his view of me even before I got saved!! That’s huge! Our worth and value was already established in his heart…we just need to believe it! And receive it ❤️‍🔥 Then we will be transformed into the image of Jesus by his great and powerful love for us! Love is definitely the greatest motivation to WANT to do right by God and people that there is! ❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🎉🙌😇

This made me cry with joy. I saw the truth in his words and felt more loved by the Lord! Thank you so much for sharing this story and especially that Jesus loves throwing rocks or whatever it is that you’re doing. You have reaped some real treasure out of your intimacy with the Lord. I am grateful that I learned something new through your testimony. I had a daughter who died a week after her last child was born. God called me to come help her family as she had 8 children at home 12 years old and under. I had lost my sweet husband just 20 months prior-to her death.I-lived in the same state for over 40 years on the west coast. My daughter lived in western maryland and when I drove the 3,000 miles to her home, I was so scared and so I prayed. The Lord said to me; “I know you are leaving your home and your security behind and all that you love, but when you get there the most important thing will be waiting there for you!” I knew He was talking about Himself, and it helped me so much to relax and to anticipate what He had for me to do! I may have left all my ‘things’ but nothing else compares to having intimacy with Him. He became my greatest treasure and I totally identified with you sharing that the reason He called you to Afghanistan was not for you to DO things for Him, but for Him to draw closer to you. It’s amazing how our most difficult trials are the ones we look back on with great respect for how He helped us and enabled us to do whatever He asks! Thank you for taking the time to share as your perspective is unique, wisdom filled and inspirational! You obtained the truth that we are to be content in whatever state we are in. Too many people are waiting for things to get better so they can be fulfilled but we are called to be at peace ‘in’ the storm or in your case ‘in’ prison. I loved the way you expressed your love for the people most of us think of as enemies. You truly have Christs heart in you!

I have nothing to add to this beautiful testimony but Proverbs 11:24 comes to mind. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. He was generous with what he had, not knowing that the prison guards were poorer than he was. He gave a handshake and a friendship, and the guard was richer because of it. Lord, thank you.

Wow! i'm imagining Jesus in his vision waiting for him at the airport, it's so real to me because i sometimes imagine how Jesus is reacting, how He will hug me, how He holds my hand, how big hands may be and how He will look at me smiling .. 🥰 Praise God for Dan's testimony, it truly shows what having a relationship with the Lord looks like and even with all the hardship he had, i can tell that the joy radiating from him is a different kind of joy, it's coming from the Lord being so proud of Dan that he continue to honor and glorify the Lord for everything He has done ❤
