This interviewer is terrible. He’s trying to get a clickbait title that capitalizes on Amish fame. Ben did an excellent job of keeping the focus on Jesus. The interviewer repeatedly tried to get him to trash the Amish but Ben always brought it back to Jesus!

I said something very similar as well. He later came to me in two dreams
@nathanielkerenweaver89872 ай бұрын
I was living my “best” life and deciding it was still miserable without any hope of happiness or joy. Then on my commute to work I thought, the only thing that would make my life worth living is if the Jesus of the Bible and his loving father were real. I grew up in the church but steered away because of the unchristlike example shown me. I said out loud, “If You are real, you had better show yourself today.” Immediately felt as if I was under the Niagara Falls of his love, surrounded by his presence, and actually saw as if through a veil of blue. He didn’t show up- he was always there, just waiting for my invitation, however rude I may have been. He doesn’t force himself on anyone, so gentle, but when we take one step towards him He comes in all His fullness! God be praised that he put that question in my heart!

So crazy how God has been moving lately. My group of friends was just talking about Amish the other day, and then this testimony releases. The same thing happened last week with the hippie testimony RIGHT after I watched Jesus Revolution on the subject. And before that, Delafe released the Mormon testimonies while that was in conversation in my life. Not that the world revolves around me but God has definitely used Delafe to touch my heart many times over the years!! I appreciate this testimony and all that you guys do.

@BethanyBridge4 ай бұрын
Thank you for this testimony from Ben. Watching it, the thought kept coming to mind, Delafe’ Testimonies should do a whole series of testimonies with this title… “I grew up (whatever denomination…in my case, Lutheran), but didn’t know Jesus until this happened…”. Because there is, I’m sure, a WHOLE lot of people who grew up in a Christian denomination, who most outside of Christ would think was always a Christian, who didn’t really know Christ. I think this would set a precedent of understanding there’s a major difference between being “religious” and being “born again” into a personal relationship with Jesus. From my own experience, I believe many people in denominations are just religious on the outside, following a set of rules and regulations their churches teach but have no personal understanding of the actual gospel, I was once one of them. Thanks for asking Ben good questions, like where is his family at now - and I would’ve loved to hear what he himself is up to now, where God has taken him. I think you do a good job of bringing in people from all different situations with their various lives and testimonies, not just the obvious previous atheists, drug addicts, worldly, etc, pagans. And although they were VERY lengthy, (it was necessary) I personally loved the testimony of the previous Mormon family who were high up in the church, I’ve already shared this with several people. The world needs to hear this because Satan has fooled the world with these seemingly “good” religions. People need to understand that being born again in Jesus is a life-changer and stands above any denomination, nation, family, situation, etc., and that one needs to truly come into a relationship and really know Jesus to be saved, regardless of where they’re at. God is SO good, He loves and desires ALL to be saved and he’s really using you guys to show that, so, thanks again!

First I want to say I thank God for these testimonies! I often listen to them while I'm working and I've been inspired and encouraged by all of the ones I've listened too. This testimony in particular spoke to my current situation as I'm in the middle of God swapping out my old circle of friends with new ones. It is refreshing to hear that God honors the choices we make when we decide to choose His truth over what we know is wrong. Leaving the old way of life behind. It hasn't been easy and in some cases it feels like a break up but it's good to know that God hears, sees, and cares about the situations we are in. It's comforting to be reminded that He has something better and we need to make room for it.

Great to hear that you found Jesus in an "English" church, but also recognize that Amish people can find Him too! Funny enough, even though I wasn't raised Amish, I can relate to your story. I was raised Catholic, and even though I theologically disagree with the official teachings of the RCC and don't consider myself one, I am certain one of the people God used to water the seeds and open my eyes to the scripture was a Catholic man. If we believe in Jesus, we have the same Spirit working in us.. and none of us have a perfect understanding of theology.. but that's ok because we are not expected to. Lately, I've been so focused on theology that I had to be reminded of that, and watching your testimony and the similarities in how you experienced His peace and guidance when you got saved was a great reminder. Please pray for an anonymous friend I feel God is guiding me to connect with.

Concerning “Every life is an adventure to be lived”. It reminded me of the advice by Jesus to live “in a tricky way” (Mat 5:47: "And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?"). I mean why would he give advices on the internal aspects of our lives, if these are our lives and not his? It turns out, these our his lives and his life experiences (“adventures”), and of course he wants to have a non dull, non mundane and tasteless life experience through us. I presume he even makes snapshots (with full context) of the best episodes of our lives and keeps them to rewatch them in future and maybe to show/boast to someone so that they can enjoy too this treasure.
