Freel definitely was too ambitious on that pass attempt. Couldn’t hold the bottom and walked the car up into Smith. Commentators might be a bit biased being related and all but Freel definitely lost the back end and that’s what spun Smith. You can see him fighting with the wheel before the back gives up and hits the 53 in the rear quarter panel and takes him out. Such a shame for Smith to get taken out like that. He was up there on merit and had a great finish (possibly a win) taken from him.

Imo i don’t think they were playing favourites because there’s only a handful of laps left & it’s go time. Both commentators do a good job of just calling it how it is i think 👍

Sucks when the only 2 cars being shown in the bone stock features are first and second place…not enjoyable to watch :(
