truly was very helpful! thank you. Tip for Shanox, to get the ice traps to spawn have the boss target your pet. when boss is targeting you he doesn't seem to throw the trap

This was super helpful. I was able to do all of them but Shannox on the first try. Reset to heroic difficulty and had someone help, Shannox was easy at that point. The rest of them just take patience and not to rush anything.

Thank you so much for this. I wanted to add a tip in case it wasn't obvious already: I did this solo as a mage in about 1 hour. FOR SHANNOX: I used my water elemental on passive. I placed him in LOS of Shannox patrol route and he got aggrod. I would ctrl 1 to have my elemental attack my trapped body if I got stuck but basically triggered it that way got it in one try.

Thank you so much for this, it's a great tip! I attempted it as a frost mage at first, but after my elemental killed him twice, I promptly gave up and asked a friend for help. I am normally an arcane mage, so I didn't have any clue as to what I was doing as frost, and that contributed to my problems with the elemental most likely.

For Evokers Shannox is solo able if you go preservation and talent in “In time of Need” Clone. Stand in lava till it procs. Run out. The clone will heal you and get boss agro. Traps drop then run them through. Try to not get stunned in the lava tho.

i works, the best place i found for it is near the magma turtles : kill ragemaw (the dog that always jumps at you, by auto attacking so that you just kill him), but not the other one (as you need him for the spear). Then go to the lava, get below 30 % activate your clone, but DON'T HEAL. You need the clone to get aggro. Once it's done wait for 1 minute to get cd up and then again. IF he doesn't throw a second trap (because your aggro is too high maybe ?), just leave the raid and reset (don't kill him). You can keep fragments so no worries, worst case scenario, 1 fragment at a time).

I did it BACK in the days....and now the second time on another character. This guide worked as it should be. Very good guide. Shannox took me 3 resets of failing in Normal AND Heroic since hes a bad boy. But I did it.

I do want to say thank you for the video; this really helped because when I first got the quest, I was so confused by what was being asked; sadly, I was not able to get all four of the charged crystals this week due to messing up on Beth'tilac and accidentally clicking on one of her spiders before getting all three fragments. (I was still able to get the Dull version; I just wasn't able to get the charge, as jumping down from her web will move her to her second phase.) Rhyolith was fairly comfortable. It just took a bit of time for the fragments to form and then another time for him to do the stomp. But outside of that, he was fairly comfortable. Alysrazor... geez, I felt my poor PC melt as much as I'm sure my Evoker did as I had to wait for a complete cycle for her to drop another set of eggs to get the third fragment, and then wait even longer for her to burn out. Seriously, I upgraded recently, and even my new PC had a hard time keeping up the frame rate due to all the fire. I can't imagine how my old PC would have felt. And then... There was Shannox, who took me over an hour and a half of resets to do properly. I understand what Blizzard was attempting here, but this was not comfortable by a single person. The necessity to have a means of splitting up aggro with the distracted dog and hoping the dog steps into the trap afterward is difficult enough as it stands, but due to there being a time limit on how long the fragment remains on the ground, it can be incredibly frustrating to get due to Shannox often spamming the maul command and leaving you stunned for 30 seconds. I was at one point stunned consistently for over three minutes due to that move. But with even resets, I got the dull crystal... only to mistime my drop and completely lose it, requiring me to farm another set. (Only after rewatching did I see you place the gem on your hotbar, which was so smart to do and show as you save so much time instead of manually clicking on the gem in your bag.) But after so long, I was able to do it. I just have to wait until next week to get the last focus because I used my first run of this week to get the last of the Embers I needed. Seriously, I felt my heart racing during that moment with Shannox for the second Dull Crystal, but putting it on my hotbar saved the run. Will return to this video next week to finish up the quest. :3

@@Savior_of_Azeroth Thank you. :3 This questline is really cool as a whole. The few transformation mounts in the game are so neat. From the Sandstone Drake's ability to be a two-seater to the Divine Kiss being this beautiful bird that you see all throughout the Ohr'nara Plains (seriously, really excellent secret reward to compensate for the fact that the Centaurs do not have a mount for purchase like the others,) it's really cool. I even heard that in a recent update, you can unlock the Teragosa Rest mount as an actual mount (you do have to complete the staff and questline, but you will no longer need to have the staff itself equipped to get the benefit. That's awesome that after so long, and for Dragon Flight of all expansions, players can now freely transform.)

Lol. :3 Just finished up this portion of the quest and I'm just relieved, honestly, because Delegation is easily the toughest part of the questline, especially since the quest does not really tell you what you have to do outside of getting the Branch, in an area you likely do not recognize despite having gone through the Firelands Raid at least two or three times now. But no matter, it is a really awesome questline as a whole, sad about Teragosa though. ;_; Now I get the name behind the legendary "Teragosa's Rest" Still, I'm on what I believe is the final collection quest of this questline, which requires gathering the 1000 Seething Cinders. Thanks again for the guide, really helped a lot.

I got all of them done except for Shannox which did not spawn traps when I tried solo and then I accidentally killed him on Normal and HC with a friend having made 2 fragments. As a mage, I did Shannox by killing the dog that constantly stuned me, then use "mirror image" to make boss make traps then lured other dog into it, then just repeat.

Shannox: As a Balance Druid, I had to bring in a friend to assist. There is absolutely no other way around this. My Level 80 Monk friend was simply ONLY taunting Shannox. I killed Rageface immediately due to his 30 sec stuns. Shannox was throwing traps and I was able to get my Emberstone Fragments.

Was dreading this but got 3 of 4 done the first week. Beth is imo the hardest one. I got the 3 fragments and reset the fight so I could get up there immediately, but I fell each time even though I could see the completed item. Stupidily, I killed her on both Normal and Heroic after I could no longer get up top. So if that happens, just Alt 4 and stay out of the game for 10-15 minutes. Fight will reset and you can have as many goes at it as you like. Eventually I'll luck into it if nothing else.

I don't know who needs to see this but currently, in the war within, at level 80, if you goof up and haven't accidentally killed a boss, you can hearthstone out of a fight even while the boss beats on you so you can safely reset. I had to do this on bael and alys in a single lockout Edit: You have to run out of the instance for shannox, but the others do work

how do you even wipe in these legacy raid bosses without knowing faint as a hunter? im tired of failing with beth over and over with my two atempts (normal and heroic) and then waiting 3 days for the raid to reset just for me to do my two attempts that will inevitably fail.

I'm sorry it's not going well for you. The only thing I can think of for your situation would be to use your hearthstone. If you can't acquire the focus, then you can hearthstone out and try again after the cooldown resets. This is the only solution I can think of for your situation. I'm sorry it's going rough for you! Have you been able to combine the fragments for the other bosses, or is it only Beth'tilac that is causing troubles? Firelands has been very laggy lately, and what seems to have worked for most people was just waiting for reset and trying again. ​@@erinwright497 It is not just this quest you can collect for another character, you would have to start over the whole chain on the first quest. However, if you were to do this, the first quest is called "Your Time Has Come" and can be obtained by slaying a Molten Lord in the Firelands raid(and can only be obtained by certain classes). I am sorry that you are having troubles. Have you done this quest before, or is this your first time? I do not have an evoker, so I am unsure as to why this may be occurring. During the fight, Shannox puts down traps, which are supposed to be used to trap the dogs, but if you yourself walk into them, then you will be stunned. The dogs also do stun players, and those just have to be waited out, unless you have a spell that will break you free of stuns. I would suggest acquiring a trinket that can break you of any stuns, or check out your talent tree for any spells. I understand that it's frustrating, and I hope this helped! Was going smoothly until Alysrazor started taking damage randomly until she died. I really do not understand what happened. I do think this whole questline/raid is a buggy mess. I placed the rock down before she hit 100% as well and it was still on the ground, unpowered. After the fight ended, I still have the 3 feathers bar at the top too. The amount of times we have to enter this raid is a bit ridiculous too, honestly. If it wasn't limited to 2 runs per week, it'd be different. Anyways, I'll be referencing this guide again when Tuesday hits. Thanks!

How do you get Alysrazor to 100$ energy without killing her?

You just need to wait for her to go through her phases until she hits the Fiery Vortex phase. While you wait is when you collect the fragments and create the focus. After the Fiery Vortex phase, she will Burn Out, and drop to the ground. After a moment, her core will Re-Ignite, and she will get back up again. This is when she begins to quickly gain her energy. Place the focus once she drops to the ground, or as soon as she gets back up. I hope this helps!! If you have any more questions, please feel free to comment them!

Hi! What class are you trying to do this on? I would recommend any stuns that don't deal any damage, but first be sure that you remove all your gear and deselecting some talents would be good so that nothing bad accidentally happens!

@@Matt92766 Well, that does make this just a bit harder then. You are trying to pull her without doing a significant amount of damage, yes? If that's the case, then you can remove all of your gear, and deselect your talents so as to limit the amount of damage done on accident, and use either a stun, a taunt, or your weakest possible spell to pull her. If running around beneath her is not working, then maybe one of these might help? Please let me know if I can help in any way! I am not quite sure how to entirely solve this problem, but I look forward to helping you solve it!!

@@Matt92766 I'm glad the taunt worked! If you are a night elf druid, you can use your invisibility spell. Any invisibility potions will work, too. If you have a hearthstone and are willing to run back, you can do that.

At level 80 (The War Within), completing this quest is pretty much impossible. I have stripped off all my gear, yet just one shot of my lowest druid spell will kill bosses. I simply cannot attack anything else the boss will die. I can stand all day in their damaging effects and NOT die. Shannox needs to be attacked before he starts trapping you and hurling spears, YET if I attack him, he's dead!!

I understand the struggle you are having. Have you unselected all your talents? I am not sure if that will help, but it is a suggestion I hope will help. I would also suggest using an auto attack spell instead of one that does significant damage. I am not sure if these will help, but I do hope it works out for you! I'm not sure how to solo it as an evoker. Sadly, I have yet to be able to purchase Dragonflight so I don't know much about them yet. All the bosses but Shannox you should be able to solo. But for Shannox's part, I would get a friend to help you. All they need to do is keep his aggro, not hit him. You can then collect the fragments and place the dull focus. If you don't have anyone to help you out, you can just use group finder and surely you'll find someone to help out. I'm sorry if I wasn't much help, but I will look into it. If I find anything, I will let you know!

This comment is over a year old so I don't know if you got through this, but there is a way to do this as an Evoker as someone else commented. In the Preservation Specalization, there is a passive named "In Time" which summons a clone of your character to rapidly heal you once you are at 20% HP. This will immediately draw aggro away and then lead it into a trap. The trouble comes two-fold, you can't really control the passive, and you can't control where the traps are. I had a few times where the traps were in the lava, and I was just constantly being stun locked, to the point the fragment timed out and vanished before I could even attempt to click it. But with evenough perservence, it can work out, just trial and error.

Okay still is at least as a mage. Get naked take icy veins talent and invisibility. Engage shannox, use icy veins. Tell elemental to attack him 1 time, then go passive. He'll throw a trap, then you lead a dog inside and break the trap. Collect shard. Then reset fight with invisibility. Keep repeating this until you have the 3 fragments. Then reengage shannox again and kill the dog that mauls you, leaving other one alive. Then be quick and put down the item as he throws spear.

Shannox is not soloable on a mage because u only have 90s seconds and the elemental water can take him or his dogs out in one hit and same on the mage char frost or arcane without gear on. U need to bring someone with u to be the bait

Beth kicks me off the net inmediately after casting her Smoldering Devastation before I can loot the item. I also have to be careful looting or I might hit her and kill her... tried 3 times now, still can't get it right :( Can't kill myself either, only way to reset her is hearthstone and fly aaaaaaall the way back

I'm sorry it's going rough for you. I myself had to do it many many times before getting it barely right, but I did have my invisibility spell to reset the fight. I recommend looking through the Wowhead comments (www.wowhead.com/quest=29234/delegation#comments) for ideas on how other people having similar issues solved them. There were some good ideas on there if you are still having trouble with it. I hope this helps, good luck!
