not necessarily, Jin m T7 has many flaws and lack of range in practically all of his movements, which canonically has always been part of his character using 100% of Jin's reactive potential is impossible, I have at least a 67% rate with his parry with characters that are minimally easy to read than what may come like Paul, Lee, Eddy etc. but Jin is not viable in tournaments, much less is he in the top 10 due to his lack of Oki and his extremely reactive low lile db4 and HS what saves Jin is D,3,3 and D4 which had an absurd nerf considering that this is the only Jin's low that prevents him from being punished in neutral for trying to tighten something he shouldn't

Jin refusing to use Devil and Mishima abilities was just a coping mechanism on his part. I'm glad he's finally fighting like how he should've been since the end of T4. People can have their sad, self-hating Jin from T4-T7, but T8 and beyond my boy is done with that. I only hope in T9 he gets some of those Kazama moves back like 1+4

PERFECT character. Jin in T7 was a work of art. His full potential relied completely on how good of a player you were. I think T7 Jin was peak Tekken. The parry window and recovery was super forgiving sometimes but I never felt like I was getting robbed fighting a good Jin player. Going against a Jin anywhere near Emperor meant it was time to sit tf up and lock in or get flexed on and I always enjoyed it. Love to see some good ass Tekken man, it takes me back!

Honestly, just remove knockdown on 2,1,4 then swap the CH launch property of d2 with db4 and make the pickup harder and there ya go. Most of his neutral game problems are gone. Maybe also make ff2 unsafe or swap it's heat engager property with ff4, so both are more situational, instead of ff2 just being straight up better. Lastly, change his Heat Smash, so that he only gets two mixup options instead of like 5 or 6: The mid kick extension stays the same, except reduce it's wall splat range a little. Then instead of transitioning to ZEN, give him an unsafe, low damage, knockdown, low kick. His current ZEN transition gives way too many options and makes his already insane heat even more broken. This way you only have to worry about whether to duck to avoid the knockdown, but risking the high damage wall splatting mid. If you get a good read on the low, you get rewarded with a juicy punish. Overall, the main issue with Jin is just how many tools were changed / added that do a lot of jobs at once. So separating their use cases a bit more will go a long way in making Jin more balanced and regaining his "hard to master" identity.
