Players think that they have to have the "God Roll" in order to be competitive, but from someone who understands off meta better than anyone, you can learn a lot and have a lot of fun giving up your Rose or your BxR to focus on the basics of your Hunter, Warlock, or Titan.

I got a funny story with that gear! I was playing trials with 2 dudes in LFG. All of a sudden, they start to joke around just equipping meme loadouts before the game and getting back a good one before it started. One of them equips the lowest power he had (I think it was 850 at the time). Then I pull the flex and grab all the 0 power gear. The game starts, I change the armour, but forget the broken traveller's chosen. Turns out a dude on the enemy team takes notice and pulls out HIS 0 power traveller' chosen! We committed and spent the entire match with the gun equipped. Mind y'all that in trials light lvl matters... We were dealing FOUR dmg per crit xD best vibe check of my entire life

I've played a few games that give me confidence in my own skills. Like this one game when I joined in late (it was like 40 to 90 and they were two players down) I made it to the top of the leaderboard (across both teams) and got the match 120 to 140 (game went to time).

imagine your teammates screaming at you for not having a higher power rating and for playing the objective. thats what happened to me, it made me stop playing crucible and end up losing interest entirely with Destiny 2. if you arent decked out in highest power rating gear, you are getting bitched at over comms, if you are playing the objective instead of charging into a firefight with the rest of your team, you get cussed out and called the weakest link (even though you somehow manage to be the only one on your team capturing the capture points) this video however, may have just made me want to get back into destiny 2 solely for crucible again. i've been watching the spicy clips series and i gotta say, its amazing some of the insane plays both noobs and veterans alike pull off in crucible nowadays. you love to see it

I'm excited for the series! I'm kind of wondering why you don't save yourself the headache and just start a new steam account for it. You wouldn't have to keep track of your materials and you could get exotic weapons naturally. The expense might be a little much if you wanted access to all the exotics though which I would understand.

I love playing with lower gear every so often, just cause some non legendary guns happen to be pretty good. Like Cuboid Aru, it's a blue weapon but it's also a 450. And if you slap on some kinetic targeting mods, it feels like any other kinetic 450 with slightly less range. That said, you'll get tbagged and emoted on more because if you kill a sweat with a blue weapon; it breaks their fragile ego. I also just like guns that have that blocky D1 look.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you can go even lower power by equipping the Halloween mask during any time except during the Halloween event. It's literally a 0 power level.

Yes, absolutely keep this series going. It's the only type of Destiny content that's intriguing anymore, handicapping yourself in some weird way and going into pvp. Be it ranDIM trials, or Copycat Trials and now this. This game is 10 years old and I know the game inside and out as I've got over 10k hours into the series as a whole so build videos and stuff doesn't do it for me anymore, there's zero builds I don't know of or have tried(especially since Bungie watered them down and removed 75% of the mods with Lightfall), same for weapon reviews because I have them all. So stuff like this is the only thing that can really keep my attention anymore.
