Deleting the BOOST LIMIT in a MAZDASPEED 3 (swas delete)

Today we delete the torque limit in my Mazdaspeed 3, one of the best Mazda 3 MPS Mods for your speed 3 build. There is a boost limit in the first few gears in Mazda Speed 3 or Mazda 3 MPS. Today we Delete SWAS in the Speed 3 MPS. Allowing us to get more boost for free and more power.
This is one of the best Mods for your Mazdaspeed build.

Was literally thinking about doing this last night 🤔 I haven't driven with traction control in in about 6 years. It's literally muscle memory when I start my car. Hold the traction control button when you start the car, and you'll notice 2 traction control lights turn on. Just pressing the button again turns it all back on until you restart the car, by the way

Yeah same, everytime I hope in, it's traction control off, even if I'm just cruising, you should definitely do it bro

@@tuitaro7130 nah it doesn't, it turns off extra lights on the gen 2, but you're right, makes no difference

Hey mate, thanks for the video I’m going to do this right now :) I just bought an MPS (I’m in Australia). Do you know if it’s possible to take the keyless entry/start system that you have there and put it into mine which has standard central locking and key start. I mean I’m sure it’s possible but do you know if it’s been done and if it’s a big job or simple plug and play type of job?

I'll admite the bov delete last week was a little bit harmful, but this nope, you're letting the car use it's full 260hp in all the gears instead of just 3rd and up, Thought then again 260hp compared to 230hp would be more stressful, but it's simply allowing the car to use all of its stock power and to not be limited

I've had the abs and traction light on since I bought my car so maybe this has already been done......never really bothered to look into since it's given me a year of no problems even in the snow.

Yeah, is yours a Gen 2, ik they put on different lights, you should be able to tell, with it plugged in, it should feel a whole lot slower in 1st Espically

@@LifeOfTuners yeah gen2. It's hard to tell. I can bust loose in 1 and 2 if I want to but boost never goes over 7 till 3rd gear. Wasn't sure if the abs light was tied to traction on a 2gen

​@@TheRealMrRoyalif the abs and traction light is on then one of your abs sensors aren't working. Disabling swas gives you traction control light and steering wheel light

Does the MS6 also have a limit or is it only the MS3?

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm 95% sure they don't since they're AWD, I could be wrong if anyone wants to confirm or correct me

Never seen it on MS6 so I don't think there is one either. MS6s are also not limited in 1st and 2nd gear from factory. There is little trick to make it FWD just to mess around with. You just pull handbrake till it clicks once and you can enjoy your FWD MS6 😁

Helpful video man, glad you finally mentioned diffence between the 2. 1 thing is bit wrong that deleting SWAS will give you benefit in all the gears with wheel turned, not just 1st and 2nd. Car is only boost limited by factory tune in 1st and 2nd as you mentioned. Also worth mentioning is that you'll no longer have working ESP just to prevent some unwanted accidents not in your case but viewers also.

@@mazdaspeedg2380 yea but won't be messing around with screw driver and pulling the dash apart just because it started to rain 😂 some people make a switch for it which is the best idea I think. Anyway unless you are tracking your car or have at least 400whp so you have to make lot of corrections due to wheelspin its useless imo. You won't get more power, just no electronics will limit you if you loose traction on front wheels while turning.

@@juanfrabenitez7270 yes your ABS is still working but ESP works with angle sensor and once you disconnect it, it can't read what is your wheel doing

I didn’t watch all of it but SWAS will dump fuel in and target the Desired Torque Map B to lower the boost, that’s why you see people blowing black smoke sometimes around corners. You’re doing videos I should of been doing but I really just don’t have the time. Keep up the good work just, make sure you tell the people the dangers off completely removing your SWAS 👀😅

@@LifeOfTuners loosing control if you’re not used to it. In terms of the tune, if you’re factory tuned, then it will have all the other limiters applied to your car 🤞🏼
