Discussion of the relation between Deleuze and Guattari's concepts of territory and assemblage drawn from my book Assemblage Theory and Method (prepared for the Latin American network of Deleuze and Guattari studies). It uses the example of a visit to Disneyland in 2017 as a way of thinking about Trump and the turn to the right in global politics.

Maybe under Obama you felt like things where going the right way, Obama feel’s like home and a familiar song to you, and when Trump got elected that was like Chaos to you.

Have you read any actual thinkers on the right? If so, which? The inability for individuals to see the wealth of anti-modern sentiments, especially an alternate critique of capitalism not coming from Marx, is super valuable. Yet I only ever hear straw man critiques of superficial “right” thought a la classical liberals of the Jordan Peterson/Shapiro sort which reflect nothing beyond happy meal toys and cat nip for Reddit users.

There is no honest critique of capitalism because capitalism IS human behavior overlaid on nature. 2 and 2 makes a 4. That is nature, and human production revolves around that simple fact. Expecting things to be borne out of nothing, or thinking of pie in the sky utopias, is at the heart of Marxist and socialist insanity.

Certainly, I need to read the right. Good idea for all.

@@MichaelMarko There's a wealth of alternative thinkers out there sort of left in the rubbish heap of history, that directly attacked bourgeois sensibilities and liberalism as a base thought, while functioning completely outside of it. What you usually find is attacks coming from within, your american conservatives are just slightly outdated liberals, who in five years will hold the same views progressives due now. De Benoist is a good thinker, Ernst Junger, Gentile, I would say Nietzsche is another, Baudrillard to me is a closet right thinker. Carl Schmitt, etc...cheers dude

You seem to hate Trump supporters and see them as the actual embodiment of hate… how are you yourself like a Trump supporter?
