I've noticed a lot of KZbin regarding philosophy seems to be 'pop-culture' philosophy if that makes sense. If it's not, it tends to be really dull, dry, non-inspiring slideshow videos lol. Which are great, but I'm hoping to bridge the artistic video gap with something that actually delves into core ideas.

@Mustuffa _CIV9_9 There's truth to what you say here. At the end of Difference and Repetition he says to "Turn the modes around." It seems that he is turning against the unity of Spinoza's God in favor of Difference? My problem with mainstream faiths is that they put 'god' in some unknowable place. While philosophers such as Spinoza, Adi Shankara, meister Eckhart, and Ibn Arabi (Jewish, Hindu, christian and Muslim) all said Look! God is in everything you see! And you are a part of that! It's beautiful to realize this in ordinary, daily life actually. It gives life so much more meaning.

@masteroftheart55482 жыл бұрын
I really think if anyone tackled this question of evolution in discussions of what things are it’s Deluze. His theory of identity via repetition and imperfect repetition I think incorporates this struggle. I would recommend the channel Then and Now who did a very good introduction to Deluze that I think addressed this.
