Thanks for sharing the most awaited video as requested earlier. Currently there is no fees being charged for this registration for now but this soon may change later. I have done the registration and it was approved in the 2nd week of July. It was pretty smooth process for me and I didn't face any glitches. It took me about less than 1.5 weeks for the entire process.

Whether you have digital passport?..I have heard the same is required for passing through e-gates, as e-gates scan the chip embedded on passport...that is the Global norm by IATA...is not it same for India's FTP program??

On the website it says that it is free. Haven't been able to register yet though. In February, this year I used similar FTI service at Singapore airport, even there it was a bit glitchy and I got stuck between the two gates for about 2-3 minutes, many people saw me and ran towards the normal immigration. For IGI it is a much-needed upgrade, cuz standing in long immigration ques is no fun.

I have used the FTI gates during my last travel to the Philippines, actually experience was smooth, just one thing that the security on the other side was confused after looking at my boarding pass and passport that why its not stamped and i had to explain that i came via FTI gates and so on after explanation some verification with the officers they let me do security check from Business class security.

I applied online and got approval in 24 hours . Now I need to complete the process at Delhi airport..Hope that will also be smooth like this. at this moment, I am not sure about children ..it is not for them then less of use for family trip.

yeah the process must be smooth and not many would be using it as of now. Some people have said that did not pay anything at the time of registration

I received OTP on my mobile instantly, but the OTP via email took longer. I waited almost 1 hour and 30 minutes for the email OTP and then successfully registered.

Presenning as India give special benifit but the process is not simple and in addition cost 100 dollar for OCI horder. My self travelled to Australia and NZ on Swedish passport with a simple process to obtain ETA Electronic travel authority before departure cost about 10 dollar valid 2 years. Self scanning while arrival and departure, no meeting with immigration officer,no stamp on passport. Same for Canada but ETA valid untill passport validity.
