This project is much needed in Panjab but unfortunately due to communication gap between small farmers and authorities it’s delaying. I’m very much sure that if Nitin Gadkari holds a meeting directly with the local jthebandis, this issue will be resolved easily. land records are really complicated here in Panjab bcoz of high corruption in revenue department and incompetence of the patwaris. And the land rates given by govt. are very much different in different areas which is also causing unrest between people. And one more thing, you should cover whole route of delhi-katra expressway in Panjab (specially Gurdaspur area) so that people can understand the progress and hurdles more clearly, no one has done that yet.

The Nakodar-Amritsar Spur was unnecessary; the NHAI should have adhered to the original plan of upgrading the Jalandhar-Amritsar Section to expressway standards. Some projects are being pursued due to political aspirations or pressure.

@@DetoxTraveller well the way I see it on Google maps is that to go to Patiala one needs to take double trumpet exit to the State highway and then it seems unclear how it merges with NH 12. The state highway meets NH at a flyover in Bhawanigarh. So does one have to go under the flyover and take slip road go through entire city and then meet NH 12? If that's true then I think it's cumbersome. Also I wonder why didn't they connect NH 12 directly? Please feel free to share
