Farakka Express starts it's journey from my adjacent district South Dinajpur, Balurghat. Previously it used to start it's journey from Malda my district. Although the train is named after Farakka Barrage but it's situated in between Malda and Murshidabad districts, it connects Northern part of Bengal and Southern part of Bengal
