The road you said east west Highway isn't actually a east west Highway. After you reach bharatpur (narayanghat) is a east west Highway.

East-West highway is Mahendra Highway bro, Prithvi Highway takes you to Pokhara from Kathmandu, Anyway welcome To Nepal bro. I do not recommend Mustang bro, as it is monsoon already, Mustang is best to visit from October to March, explore Kathmandu, Then you may go Pokhara, if you are looking for some adventurous fun then you might Paraglide there at Pokhara and you may go ‘The Clif, some of the highest bungees at Kushma, Parbat. You might go to Mankamana Temple on your way return to Kathmandu from pokhara.

26:31 This is not the only east-west highway in Nepal. There are 2 others that go through the mountains. However, since this (Mahendra not Prithvi) highways goes through the plains, it's the "fastest"- well they are upgrading it from 2 lanes to 4/6 lanes and the conditions are very bad right now. To be fair, it has been like this since COVID time.
