Iam from kerala aug is peak monsoon in kerala .if you want to visit kerala during monsoon june and sept is good option ,most of flood situation in kerala occure during last week of july to aug 3rd week

When he said PERIYAR RIVER(9.38)...he is pointing left ....it is the same left shore is 'ADWAIDASHRAMAM'(Next to the Bridge) ...Birth place of Adi Sankara....Driver a Christian avoided it or forgot , I dont know. The very Point(9.38) you are at Kalady. When landing in Kochi from East(Runway 27), You will see this Bridge and see the sthoopa of Advaithashramam.
