we will be driving to Manali in June from Gurgaon and want to stopover in between. Do you think stopping at Mandi would be a good idea ?

No because mandi would be very near to Manali.

@@piyushdivya idea is to stretch on day 1 and cover most distance. I cannot drive more than 8 hours a day. Next morning we can drive couple of hours and be in Manali .. fresh to take on the whole day

What were the road condition from Mandi to Manali? We are planning to go there next month. Some says roads are very bad from Pandoh to Manali. Some says roads are good, Not such problem. Pls clarify .
