Oyster Roasts are a winter tradition in the Low country. Some are held at the plantations like Boone Hall in Mt Pleasant, near Charleston. YUM!!

We went to One Hot Mama's this year and the service was horrible and food was just mediocre. It has gone down. She mentioned the smoke ring. The smoke ring has nothing to do with taste or how much smoke is there. It is caused by a reaction of nitrates to heat.
