Delicious Potato Pancakes DRANIKI with Creamy Garlic Sauce: A Quick Recipe

Today, we're making delicious potato pancakes with creamy garlic sauce. Let's get cooking!
Ingredients for 4 servings:
* 600g potatoes ≈ 4 medium-sized potatoes (about 1.3 lbs or 20 ounces)
* 1 onion
* 1 egg
* 1 tbsp flour
* Cooking oil (enough for frying, typically about 2-3 tablespoons)
* 150g heavy cream (22% fat) ≈ 2/3 cup
* 3 cloves of garlic
* Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
1. Grate the potatoes using a grater. To prevent oxidation, add grated onion and mix well.
2. Salt the potatoes and let them sit for 5-7 minutes.
3. Drain the potatoes through a sieve over a bowl to release the juice.
4. Discard the liquid from the potatoes, collect the starch settled at the bottom, and add it to the mixture. Mix well.
5. Add egg, salt, and pepper to the potato mixture and mix thoroughly.
6. Add flour and mix until well combined.
7. Heat a skillet and scoop the potato mixture onto it using a spoon to form pancakes. Do not make them too thick.
8. Fry over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
9. Reduce the heat and let the pancakes cook through on low heat.
Sauce:
1. Cut bacon into medium-sized cubes and fry in a dry skillet.
2. Finely chop garlic and add it to the bacon, fry together for a couple of minutes.
3. Add heavy cream and bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat until thickened.
4. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Remove from heat when the sauce thickens.
Serving:
Arrange the potato pancakes on a plate, pour sauce over them, and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
