Wow the food looks very similar to Macedonian, Montenegrin and Serbian food. I read that Pristina is one of the oldest Serbian cities is that correct? Pristina was an important town in Medieval Serbia and also the royal estate of Stefan Milutin, Stefan Uroš III, Stefan Dušan, Stefan Uroš V and Vuk Branković. Was that house built during their rule?
@liljanasufaj16433 жыл бұрын
Guys, Kosova has been a part of Rome, Bulgarians, Slavs, Bizantines, Turks but in the end it has been always an Albanian land, populated by Albanians throughout long before Romans, Slavs and Turks invaded it. So, if Serbs claim it as their town, than Bulgarians, Turks and moreover Romans have more rights to claim it.

According to servs half of the world was important land of medieval serbia. Of course the truth is far from that. Kosova was a battlefield of balkans and ottomans but was never serbian. Indeed western Kosova had always an Arbrian(albanian) presence. It is widely belived that almost 2 milion Kosovar albanians today come from those western kosovo populated areas. From 1912-1999 Kosova was annexed by serbia. For 22 years Kosovo has been on it's own.

7:25 is typical example of fabrication of history in the Balkans. That is not Adem Jashari monument, that is monument to the fallen Partisans during WWII and it was built during Yugoslavia times, long before Adem Jashari was killed. It was completely neglected after Kosovo war. This is just a side note, your channel is very entertaining and I appretiate your effort to show Kosovo. I was there and I liked the land. Best wishes from Croatia!

He is from Albania , and he is confused because the Square has Adem Jashari Name not the Monument , You are correct for Monument is During Yugoslavia , dont mind he didnt Know it
@faetont4 жыл бұрын
@Beast He didn't say "Look, interesting monument, I don't know what it represents but we can check it later" or something similar. He said "This is Ademi Jashari Monument. Honered to Adem Jashari, hero of war".
@migjenfazliu39363 жыл бұрын
It's not a fabrication. It is merely a misinterpretation of the tour guide who wasn't informed. Everybody know that this is a monument from the times of Yugoslavia

7:17 the guide is WRONG. That monument was built by the communists to respect the Yugoslav martyrs of World War 2 (and the concept of brotherhood and unity) and has nothing to do with Adem Jashari, who wasn't even born when that monument was constructed. That monument basically represents the very thing Adem Jashari fought against.
@jackarta68403 жыл бұрын
@Beast Which is a paradox in itself. But that is not what the guide said. He also messed up badly when explaining Skanderbeg's goat helmet. I literally couldn't watch after that.
