Made this recpie today, ive got to admit it was nice, but not like wow il do it again. Ive cooked a few of ellas recpies now and i find them just so heavy on the stomach, they make me feel sick, i just dont think its for me. Also with the amount of nuts used it can get pricy . But the cashew garlic cream is really nice and the energy ball things she makes are really good.

I just made these lentil balls for the first time tonight! They were great and easy and will definitely be making them again soon! I didn’t have the ingredients to make the garlic sauce or the avocado hummus, so I used chipotle mayo instead.

Definitely one of my favourite recipes from the book ❤️ love the relish recipe to go with it, only I didn’t realise tomato purée in the uk is what we call tomato paste but once we had that sorted, the dish was an absolute winner 👌

This looks delicious! Can I use any other lentils? I have white, brown, red and black. But no green :(
@rach27086 жыл бұрын
Deidre Johnson brown lentils should be okay but if you can get hold of green lentils they’ll work best ! Red lentils are quite a mushy lentil so I’d steer clear of those x

Great recipe! But I still don't get what's with you using oil all the time. Oil is so unhealthy. I especially don't understand you using oil in this recipe, you could totally just use tahini, since tahini is what's traditionally used to make hummus anyway. Olive oil is just a cheaper more unhealthy alternative to the wholesome tahini in hummus.
@marissag22286 жыл бұрын
schniamhy olive oil is healthy, you’re wrong! Were on earth did you pick that up from? 🤷🏻♀️
@Jewels646 жыл бұрын
Schniamhy I totally agree, thankfully a lot of her recipes can be adjusted with healthier options. Same with Dates & maple syrup, her sweeter recipes are so heavy with them, yes they’re a healthier alternative to refined sugar but still heavy in calories.
