I had a sim freeze to death naked at that festival anyway. I can’t say I’ve ever seen it snow in raven wood but it does get plenty cold for freezing to death. Especially when all the naked dancers start swimming.

It's probably for technical reasons, the neighborhood looks like it has a lot of visual effects like fog and darker/special lighting and such, which might clash with the weather effects. And ofc frozen sparkling lake would be awkward..

I personally am happy that there is no winter in this World. And I think a lot of the gameplay (being naked at the festival, having to bathe in the water) would have been impossible if there had been winter in that World.

My favourite part of the Undertaker career: The Tricous are from Sims 2, and it's a fun little callback. Edited to add: For those who have no idea (and it's a fairly small bit). In Sims 2 Nightlife one of the biggest/most expensive lots is the "House of Fallen Trees" (yes, the one you can research). The entire family is dead (some buried on that lot, others in the graveyard), but you *can* resurrect them if you befriend (and gets to move in) one of six teen townies that are recognising Jon Smith as their ancestor (though he doesn't recognise them as his children, which is idly odd).

The way I see it is that fall is the perfect representation of the pack. The pack is obviously about life and death and everything in between. Fall is the season between life (summer) and death (winter). It just makes sense to me. And as other people said, this probably helps prevent sims dying en masse during the Moonlight Revelry due to extremely cold temperatures and blizzards And for pc players who are particularly bothered by the lack of snow, people made mods for it almost immediately, so it's nothing to really even complain about on the pc side of things. I hate snow irl anyway, so I'm totally cool with those 😂 And a lot of people really took this _game_ way too far and owe Ninja a handwritten apology. They helped provide us with one of the best packs the Sims 4 has ever had, and people bullied them off Twitter because of stupid *snow*

Just a heads up 'Effigy' is pronounced 'Effa-gee.' Also I had a heck of a time finding the moon revelry festival too. Not sure why they spawn so far away from it. Hopefully they fix that.

Hi Deli, did you know that in Romania there is actually a sculpture like the ancestor’s statue. It’s called the Rock Sculpture of Decebalus (or Decebal, as we call it here).

I’m guessing you’re from there based on this comment, so I wanted to ask what you thought visiting would be like as someone who doesn’t speak any Romanian? In some countries it can be harder to get around without language skills than in others.

I'm guessing the lack of winter in Ravenwood is so sims won't freeze to death on mass during the Full Moon Revelry (or every night if you live nearby) and so the Baleful Bog can be used year-round Shame about the lack of snow, but i get why they'd do it functionally

@@JustSaralius Yes! I had a townie die from freezing to death because she was swimming nearby my house and it was cold outside lol. But I do think the lack of snow thing makes sense for the festival and naked Sims. Couldn't have them running around naked in snow lol. But the fire should protect them from the cold like a fireplace does. Now if they could somehow make festivals seasonal rather than based on days if you have Seasons, then they could have definitely added snow.

the seasons aren't in the game because the baleful bog can't freeze over and with all the outdoor festivals, people will constantly freeze. and you already get very cold when it's outdoors you have to be careful when it's fall and winter.. you also can't see the graves and stuff like that when it's all covered in snow so they did a good thing by not adding snow. It still gets super cold in the fall and winter, you just don't have snow. and it doesn't snow in area every area of the world, fake or real so I don't know why everyone's upset about it

Of Note: The Soul quota is 25 per week. You can reap souls through gardening and fishing; click on the plant or water and an option will be available. I would love it if one of your sims can go on an exploration to find the Tarot cards, I am curious once all is collected if there is a difference while pulling cards or giving reading is more affluent than the ones you can buy in buy mode.

You can go on exploration for the 26 cards. Grim gives you the final one himself. Find a Tarot tomb shrine in any of the 3 districts in Ravenwood to begin.

Hi Deli, I just got the pack today. I am actually watching videos to get a feel for the pack and some inspiration for gameplay. I dont know if I want to start a legacy and have a family graveyard or just explore the pack with my current household. I have been playing Sims since the Sims 3 and I have always wanted to have funerals in the game . I am excited to have wills and inheritances in game as well. It adds a feeling of realism which is cool. Thank you for your dedication to providing excellent Sims content and honest reviews regarding The Sims.

The 4 Sims in the Order of Lenore give you quests to unlock tarot cards for the collection . Unfortunately the option is hidden deep in the social menu. It's in the "Friendly" category, just can't remember if it's in "Small Talk -> More Options" or just "More Options". Edit: it's actually Friendly -> Activities -> Offer to do favor

I played this so much. I still feel I haven’t played everything there is yet for it. Finished the careers. Rabbit hole and reaper. Learned the dead language, married grim. Had four of his kids. He is now pregnant with the fifth. Grim pregnant yes. That wasn’t a typo lol. Before it was his wife but nice guy wanted to do it now. Now working on his first born being reborn eventually. Only thing I want to try badly. Maybe more crypt exploring too. This pack is so fun!

My only thought on not having seasons in the new world is that it's supposed to be like, ghosty and dead vibes? I do agree it was not the right choice, regardless of reason, but yeah. Maybe there's a legit reason other than "laziness". The rest of the pack, in my opinion, makes up for the lack of it honestly.

I read that they (EA) thought the world has more of an eternal Autumn vibe and that's why they decided not to have winters in Ravenwood. Which obviously is a crazy reason considered the world is based on Romania which gets really cold in winter.......😂

If I read correctly, the main reason why they didn't do it is because it was "too hard" to make all water in Ravenwood freeze in winter *except* for the rebirth lake.

I like that some worlds, like Oasis Springs and Del Sol Valley, don't freeze, but seeing the trees get brown and then lose their leaves and then grow their leaves again is very enjoyable ☺️

Open your files, open documents->electronic arts->the sims 4. There will be a file call accountDataDB, it should be the first file after the folders. Delete it. It won't do anything bad to the game, but if you're worried about it breaking something you should be able to move it to your desktop for the same effect. The next time you open your game the event should be fixed. If you already started the event you might have to redo some things but it should otherwise be fine
