Since it’s still only new, I think they should eventually expand on the roommate thing. I think the having friends and lovers over, leaving out notes and plates everywhere is cute but they could down the road go into much more detail. Such as creating a board to hang on the wall that could be used to set chores for all the housemates. They could also allow players to set the amount of rent for rooms and based on the Sims they’ll decide whether or not they want to pay that and move in, even if you agree to let them move in. So they may be like “this place is too expensive. Consider lowering your the rent and then I’ll move in” and you can click yes or no. And if no they leave. Roommates could also have their own special traits that you can’t pick. And just like how you have to get to know Sims, you don’t know their traits until after they move in and have lived with you for a little while. They could do... Annoying: This roommate just doesn’t get the hint. They’re always following you around the house, talking your ear off and constantly butting their nose into your business! Personal Space: This Sim doesn’t even know the meaning. You’ve had a talk with them over and over, but they just don’t care if you’re in the shower or on the toilet. Nothing seems to get to them and they have no issue leaving the door open while they go a number 2! Obsessive: This roommate is starting to get... creepy. You passed it off as harmless oddness at first but you’re pretty sure they’re going through your things. Suddenly they’re popping up at your work, showing up at the park when you’re there, you even caught them smelling your clothes and watching you sleep! Why are you so obsessed with me? High Strung: This roommate is nice but they could learn to relax a little. They’re always cleaning and moving things around to be more organized, even though you’re pretty sure things were already organized (apparently not). They’re also a little particular. Everything has a time: dinner is always 6 and they dare not miss a beat. Slacker: This roommate does nothing! They leave heir clothes on the floor, they never wash their dishes, they don’t cook and leave pizza boxes everywhere! You’re pretty sure they’re not bathing. They say they work from home, but you’re pretty sure they aren’t contributing to the house at all. Oh and they’re always late with the rent. Etc etc.

Positive or neutral traits would be great too, like quiet, weekend wanderer (never in the house on the weekends), parent (move in with a toddler), studious (mostly does homework, and leaves for long periods to visit the library), posh (needs expensive items in the home), etc.

Deli I think each Sim is currently paying $53 and you got $106 for 2 roommates . They are not paying $100/each. So you are not paying equal parts and you are paying most of rent. 😉

Whenever I accidentally have the gremlins lot trait on and everything breaks, i quickly change it to gnomes and the gnomes fix everything before your sim wakes up! Then once everything’s fixed, I change the lot traits to whatever I want :)

The roommates only give you $53 each and your rent is only $400 a week. I honestly think renovating the space into a nicer 2 bedroom apartment with an office with your money and doing paintings for cash would be better. She received a lot of scholarship money so it would fit in the story line. You don’t have to pay rent the rest of your time at uni! ALSO PLEASE GET OUT OF THE SECRET SOCIETY THE SPRITES ARE SO ANNOYING

Roommates in the game are actually pretty high maintenance. You need to make sure they are not fighting with you for the toilet. And give them blank surfaces to put stuff. Otherwise the game keeps popping those notices. And they actually will shift out on their own. Then, you have to find another one.

Freshman 15! Lol. It's because most of the food the roommates cook or bring into the dorms or student housing are high "calorie" foods, like lobster thermidor and monte Cristo sandwiches. There's a calorie system behind some of the foods that make the sims gain more fat. Salads are a low calorie dish in the sims for example.

If you use some of your points you can buy & drink the moodlet remover to get rid of the sprites when they get mad. There's a cheat too but it's complicated. Hopefully they will fix the Sprite glitch soon. My sim graduated and still has the sprites visit.

I am actually glad that a big Sims KZbinr, Deli, is feeling the annoyance from the Sprites. I want EA to draw the line between making a game difficult and making it challenging. Good gameplay is not simply making a game difficult. Creators need to step up on designing gameplay rather than just dumping so many restrictions here and there. The Sprites will stick with your Sim forever. And the concept following this Secret Society is very dark. 1. The Sim who joins a Secret Society can never get out of it. 2. The tense moodlet can actually drive a Sim crazy, anxiety, depression, if that were allowed in the game. 3. Potentially leading to suicide.

I think you might miss them if you don't look at NPCs closely .. it works properly for me, but I didn't leave the lot between placing the ad and them arriving, which took only a couple of sim hours.

You can go to Manage Worlds and evict whoever you want to be your roommate, then invite them over and ask them again. 👍🏼 it’s super annoying, but it works.

i decided to get a roommate to see how it would work out and the young woman has a new boyfriend every day and now it's new girlfriends every time we see her and I finally locked everyone except her out, those boyfriends or girlfriends would gravitate to my Sim every time, now they have parties in the backyard with the pool, that's a much better spot for that. I can't get rid of those sprites either. I locked my bedroom door also to keep everyone else out, that was a must.
